According to Kuensberg’s sources getting rid of a PM is a 3 stage process. Stage 1 is deciding to remove the incumbent…..this is complete. Now they move on to stage 2 which is deciding who to replace him with which is a lengthy process. The movers and shakers will be busy for a while now before the axe falls

What did Laura say Stage 3 was? My guess is telling him the news herself.

It's like The Sinking Of The Bismarck.
Bombard him with shells and then finish him off with torpedoes until he sinks.

I see Liz Truss does not know what a party is as she was 'working extremely hard' at that time getting many trade deals over the line.
I also see that the BBC is now calling the parties 'gatherings' the BBC is in the pocket of the government, scared because they know that they will have the licence fee taken away, so they have to now tow the line.
Disgraceful.

This has to be ideal time for a leadership backstabber.

Johnson is at his weakest. If he survives this and goes on but then loses the next election then the backstabber is looking at 8 years or so minimum to become PM.

No point in waiting.

Trouble is that the poor man won't have anywhere to live if he stops being PM, he can't afford his lifestyle on PM Money let alone MP money.

Unless he can persuade one of his mates to loan him a flat

You think he wouldn’t step down as an MP?

I would think that the BBC is using the word "gatherings" as that is the word the government has used and can be reported as such. As the word "party" has not been admitted to, that is still speculation. I know that the BBC love to present speculation as fact, which is Twitters job, sometimes they do actually do their jobs properly. As soon as a party has been proven or admitted to, they will use that word instead.

People who can't afford to decorate their place, shouldn't have kids. Isn't that how it goes?

A horrid bloated bag of ex-journo blood & bones. But also, cut it open and it would bleed rats, cockroaches, sewerage and a lot of toxic gas.

NO, NO, NO, I'M NOT HAVING IT. Michael Gove is far worse than that.

You've quite possibly identified the only politician who is even more duplicitous than Boris.

In fact, they are using both where appropriate. 'Gatherings' for where it is accepted that something took place, but as yet there isn't enough information to say exactly what. And 'alleged party' for the main one - because that is what is alleged. A very careful differentiation - as you would expect from the BBC.

Someone gave pictures to a red top, you say. Dom is trying to figure out who would do such a wicked thing.

:lolol:

Dom has only just started. God knows what else he has got lined up for the festive period.

He is well aware that Tory MPs will shortly have to spend the best part of 3 weeks stuck in their constituencies, at an endless round of local party drinkies, nativity plays, carol services and bazaars, continuously getting their ears bent about the PM.

It is sickening to see the exponential growth of this virus, with the figures doubling every couple of days.

First it was one party, then two parties, on Wednesday it was four parties and now today it is eight parties.
