I really can't believe he is still in office but I'm afraid that

Toute nation a le gouvernement qu'elle mérite

Still appears to be as true as it ever was

Nope, no mention of moderators having to 'manage me', not even in the full post before you edited it

Which was part of a significantly longer discussion between myself and Bozza on whether people thinking this Government is corrupt is evidence based or a result of entrenched political views. Unsurprisingly, we disagreed.

Most unlike you to jump in two footed and get hold of the wrong end of the stick. Anyway back to the ongoing Tory meltdown, because we certainly wouldn't want to take this thread off topic, would we ???

You knew exactly the post I was talking about but just decided to act dumb. Agreed I paraphrased Bozza's original post but the meaning is still the same and your second sentence above is considerably re-writing the meaning of the original thread.

Regardless, back to your question, I'm not aware I've ever said that Johnson is a fit and proper leader of the UK ( unless you can provide a quote to suggest otherwise ) ? So I haven't "changed my mind" - I voted Tory because they were the only PARTY to be promising to take us out the EU. I voted on PARTY policy not the leader. To me, that policy over rode who the leader of the Tory party was. If I had voted based on a fit and proper leader then I couldn't have voted at all.

So the question is still the same. Knowing what we now know, have you changed your mind or would you do the same again ?

Which part of I voted based on party policy NOT who the leader was are you struggling with ? If we were still in the EU - we're not - then I would vote for the party that promised to leave the EU - regardless of leader. But as we're not still in the EU it's a rather stupid question.

I'm beginning to think Plooks was your second account !

Thanks for the answer. It's just that when I see you laying into Johnson I think you're an intelligent bloke who knew all about Johnson and his history. I believe of all people, you fully understood the deal you were making and who with, when you voted. What you have got as a result really shouldn't come as a surprise

Be nice

It's not a surprise - sometimes you need to do a deal with the devil to get what you want !

A Downing Street spokesman has revealed Johnson is getting six FPNs.

If true, that surely must be the end for him. There's no way he could pretend he thought everything was 'okay' at some of these other events. Or he should have least asked the question.

However - presumably we'll have to wait for the Police findings?

Gold medal standard squirming from Grant Shapps on the radio this morning.

They always wheel him out to defend the indefensible.

Said the PM was "mortified" a number of times. Does he know the root meaning of the word ? Very, very inappropriate with the Covid deaths, Grant.

Anyway, Johnson needs to go.

Tories need to put Country before Johnson.

Just seen a clip of JRM on Twitter claiming Tories won’t get rid of Johnson as they don’t want a worse PM

Seems Sunak offered to resign, I think he will go.
