.. including some more acid from the Dark Lord Cummings

“People also underestimate the extent to which he lies to literally everybody literally all day – including to Carrie and about Carrie."

“‘Lies’ isn’t even a useful word with him – he lives inside a fog of invention and ‘believes’ whatever he has to in the moment. E.g He both knows he’s lying about the parties AND thinks he did nothing wrong. This doesn’t make ‘sense’ unless you’ve watched him carefully or similar sociopaths.”

Makes me wonder what Johnson would actually have to do in order to lose his job.

Just throwing one out there, but possibly attending an ABBA themed party in his flat, organised by his wife who'd given the security entry number to her mates so they could come and go.

Purely hypothetically of course, it could be of course due to inflation, the NHS, price of living and all that other stuff.

I reckon BJ could shoot and kill someone close to ppf, and a few others on here, and they would still support him.

Many of the front bench and MET would do the same.

Shocking.

BJ is a horrible piece of sh1t, and sticking two fingers up to us all, whilst laughing how stupid we all are, and how teflon he is.

I sense the atmosphere amongst the more rationale of us is changing and more people are waking up to the blatant corruption that's been going on in Parliament for years, and can see it spill on to the streets, if it is left to carry on.

Riots on the street, that's right up ppf's street, surely?

Load of bollocks and just shows the BBC up for what they are , Boris is over in Kiev representing this country and doesn't need a two bob journo coming out with crap like that distracting from the purpose of the visit

Regards
DF

Johnson is over in Kiev representing himself as he always does, he cares not one jot for what is in the best interests of the country. And the question was perfectly reasonable - a journo doing their job not kowtowing to the Govt.

It all makes you ponder on which was the worst piece of judgement : Boris’ decision to bring Dom into No.10, or Carrie’s decision to boot him out.

I've read a couple of books on Johnson. One long before he was Prime minister.

The sadness is that there is nothing new in his behaviour, he's just doing it somewhere else. He's been lucky to get elected whilst surrounded by uselessness.

My personal frustration is the current London Mayor, he should be upfront absolutely gunning for him on a number of matters, particularly in his role of over seeing the MET.

The “Winner Takes It All” ABBA-themed party in the Prime Minister’s flat on November 13th 2020 is a particularly poignant date for me.

That evening my dad lay dying in hospital after my sisters and I agreed with the doctors and our mother that treatment should be withdrawn and he should be allowed to slip away. I was unable to visit to say my final goodbyes and the guilt I still feel is corrosive.

He died the following day.

Johnson and Symonds: you pair of utter *****.

The Saville comment yesterday shows Johnson really has gone full Trump

https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/en...gate-jimmy-savile_uk_61f90e4fe4b02de5f51ddca7

If he said what he did outside of parliament it would have been considered libelous. He knows he is protected in parliament so out goes the lie....

But wasn't Starmer the DPP when they considered prosecuting Savile on several occasions and decided against it each time? Whatever the reasons for doing so, surely that can't have been done without Starmer being involved in the decision-making process? It was Jimmy ****ing Savile FFS, not some 17 year old pickpocket.

My mother in law also died 14th November 2020, and my husband wasn’t allowed to see her, nor his brother.

So many people have no idea how the CPS works. Does your boss make every single decision?
There are prosecutors. Crown Prosecutors and Chief Crown prosecutors. Cases are delegated region by region. There were four victims who came forward (at different times) and in different areas. There was little evidence and no witnesses. Police submitted little to go on, so the reviewing lawyers turned it down. One such case was in Sussex.
It was after his death that victims came forward.
I put a video on this thread explaining it in detail a few pages ago.

I believe it is universally felt on all sides of the House that Johnson’s ‘Savile’ remark yesterday was ill-judged, tasteless, wholly inaccurate and the desperate words of a floundering man. You won’t find any colleague of Johnson’s willing to stand behind that comment. Not even Nadine Dorris FFS.

I think this thread has shown that even the most vocal supporters of the current administration have realised there are a busted flush.

The only support that exists comes from our pet far-right member.

But then again they know that, which is why they are repeating the lies about an ex-current Director of Public Prosecution that started on a far-right facebook page.

Debate around the conduct and procedures of the CPS is perfectly valid, of course. But those defending the comment have missed the point.

Linking Starmer to Saville is a well known social media tactic of the far right. I'm not going all Owen Jones on you, by describing anything right of Corbyn as right wing scum. No we are taking about the darker edges of the internet and politics, many organisations repeating the claim already proscribed under UK law.

Trump played the same game, the far-right are a voter base like any other and Johnson (and his advisors) know that very well.

They are desperately trying to shore up support and frankly don't care where they go. But this was the point when a Prime Minister of the United Kingdom went too far.

Clips of the interchange are already being widely circulated on far-right social media channels. Johnson knew who he was talking to, he is that desperate.

Churchill would be turning in his grave....

That's how far they have fallen.

Well no, but my point was that it was Jimmy Savile. Would the DPP not be briefed about prosecution decisions relating to somebody as famous (notorious) as Jimmy Savile, not least because there were people calling him out as a wrong'un as early as the 70's?

No, he wasn't involved in the decision.

https://fullfact.org/online/keir-starmer-prosecute-jimmy-savile/

Anyway, it can't have been an easy decision for whoever the lawyer was, they seemingly did make mistakes but I can only imagine how difficult it is for the CPS in these cases. If you go too hard to try and prosecute someone and don't have enough evidence, it falls apart in court.

But this is all a ridiculous deflection. I thought Boris disliked political point scoring, yet this is clutching at straws at its finest.

I agree it's a deflection tactic but I'm still surprised that Starmer was never consulted as Head of the CPA when Savile was reported on a number of occasions.
