It did, and that is disappointing, but it clearly genuinely felt that there was something there. Sometimes conmen can be very convincing, especially if they bring along grieving parents who feel that something is wrong but they’re not being heard. Not the Eye’s finest hour though.

It really is hard to take Parliament seriously on days like this, the classic “Westminster bubble” guff where on a day when Parliament could have come together and agreed a consensus position on one of the major international crises of our time, they instead have decided to bicker and fall out about procedure and parliamentary niceties.

This was revealed in the house by a tory MP who claims he was told this by a labour MP.

yup, getting towards the desperation state where nobody looks good, nobody looks overly trustworthy, and this muddled up with fake news and the onwards steady march of AI is leading us all to a place where we no longer know who’s who, what’s what, what’s true and what’s a downright lie. Jeez, I’m glad I’m mid sixties and won’t be around in another 30 years time.

maybe so mate, but having a really, really tough time right now dealing with 93 and 94 year old M and D, battling dementia, loss of mobility, forgetting who his family were, didn’t have a clue who I am this morning. Tomorrow I have the pleasure of telling him he has to go into a care home as Mum just can’t cope with him any longer as she’s expecting to have a terminal cancer diagnosed any day now.

Felling really low, guilty and like I’m betray8mg my dear old Dad. When I see what mid 90’s looks like I don’t think I want any part of it for myself.

I don't buy in to them all being as bad as each other, but today they need their heads banged together and take a long hard look at themselves. Behaving like insolent school children.

It’s hard to put a parent in a home but we did it for my Stepdad when his dementia got bad and for him, it was the best thing to do. For all concerned. And you have peace of mind that he’s getting the 24hr care he is going to need.

It’s hard at first but he’ll soon settle in and you’ll all get used to the idea.

It’s hard to put a parent in a home but we did it for my Stepdad when his dementia got bad and for him, it was the best thing to do. For all concerned. And you have peace of mind that he’s getting the 24hr care he is going to need.

It’s hard at first but he’ll soon settle in and you’ll all get used to the idea.
