The answer is "it depends what else you buy". The best deals are on "hampers" at the weekends and they can work out very well per piece, but you'll come back with enough to stuff your freezer and keep you going for a month.

I’m now chilled about no deal Brexit and (I believe) the huge fall out for all those who thought it would solve all their problems (or give us “independence” or stop immigration or whatever they thought) and they can reap what they sow

I'm afraid that's where I am. If you keep shouting loud and long enough, that this is what you want, then you really shouldn't be surprised if that is what you get

Right. So you have to buy a heap of other stuff if you just want a cheap chicken. Look, I 'm really not knocking this shop.. Our village has a similar one. I'm just querying Westdene's assertion that poor people who feel forced to buy cheap cuts in a discount supermarket are by definition stupid.
