What has happened to him ?

21 years old now , cant even get on the bench in a team that cant score without any other striking competition.

Surely not going to make it with us

Strange as has looked ok ish when has figured

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
If he was scoring loads for the Dev Squad, I'm pretty sure he would get back onto the bench or in the first team.

Needs to go on loan, but can't really until Gus gets another striker in or Hoskins finally gets fit.

Just add him to the long long LONG list of shoot-flids we have at the club.

None of them can score any goals.

Toby's really impressed when he's given a chance and IMO would be a better choice compared to Barnes if your going to play a player out of position on the left wing

He never really looks that good in the first time though does he ? Good prospect but needs to get match experience in the lower leagues

You've seen Toby defend have you? Genuine question because anyone that replaces Barnes in the position that he plays will need to be quite versatile.

Changed the games at Palace and Peterborough last season when he came on.

Shame he hasn't had much of a chance especially when the only things in front of him are Barnes, Dobbie and dare I say it CMS.

He impressed at Peterborough, but that's it. He hasn't done anything else for the first team and hasn't done much for the Development Squad either. He deffinitely needs a loan move to get some games, and not to Bath City!

Shouldnt replace Barnes at all but if he isnt going to even make the bench now then it is unlikely to happen for the fella.

Agree needs to go on loan otherwise all pretty pointless. At 21 if he was going to do it he'd be stepping up now

He's going to be a half time sub on Friday, and will set us on our way.
You heard it here second:-

Half-time result: Leeds
Albion goals: 13
Leeds goals: 1
First Albion goalscorer: Toby A

Apart from the odd flashes I can't agree with this. I think he needs to be banging them in for the DS, at the very least ... he isn't so I agree with those saying send him on loan

but that's the whole point...Barnes is played IN THE WRONG POSITION!!! He is not a left winger but a centre forward. If I had Barnes in my team, I would want him getting into the position to score and create goals...not trying to cover my full backs!!!

What next? asking Kusczak to take corners !!!

So if you're gonna put Toby in and let him be an out and out forward then surely we'd be better off letting Barnes play there for a change? Can't see the sense in dropping Barnes and then letting Toby play as a main striker when Barnes is proven as a quality striker when played there??

For what it's worth I'd like to see us play with less fear at home for a while and actually GO at the opposition with two strikers, not holding my breath though.

I think that's a big part of our current problem. Why is one of our strikers in the team because he defends well??

We all agree, I believe, that our back four is one of the best in the division and we have two or three good defensive midfielders, so why do we also need to rely on the defensive qualities of a striker?

If our strikers were given clear instructions that their roles were to score goals, and if we left the defending to our defenders, maybe, just maybe, the team would be able to entertain the fans by putting the ball in the net more than once in a game.

Just a thought.
