If you can't be optimistic on our chances of top 10 after getting a point at Stamford Bridge, scoring our first ever goal there with half of our first team missing then I'm nor sure what you expect.

Our best ever finish is 13th, so Top 12 would be history making.

Top 10 would be dreamland for me, it'll be difficult but we have a chance.

Take a look at the table.
Who above us are we better than? Maybe Wolves and that's it, and they beat us at home. All the others are clubs with the finance to buy a better position.
Then look down. Who is better than us? Villa? Maybe with Gerrard. Everton and Southampton I think are on our level.
10th is our position and come the last day of the season 9th will be miles ahead of us.

If Biss continues with his shooting improvements and a couple of others join in, then it's really possible.

I don't really see where they'd fit in to the squad. Unless that amazing top-quality striker becomes available, which they hardly ever do in January, I don't see that's where we should strengthen.

For me the strengthening should be in the central defence, we don't have the depth there that we do in midfield, Dunk could be out for a long time, and we are yet to replace Ben White. Part of the reason we scored last minute equalisers in our last three away games is because we conceded goals earlier in the match thus needed to chase the game. Strengthen our defence and those last minute equalisers may become last minute winners.

I shall be holding this unpopular opinion right through the upcoming transfer window, and quite likely into the following one as well :p

From match one this season, it’s been a PROBABILITY for me, building on the last two seasons

A dream currently.

The dream will become reality if players such as Mac Allister or Moder start chipping in with goals (I’ve given up on Biss, Lallana & Groß finding the back of the net this season) OR if the club can pick up a few players who can score goals at EPL level in the January window.

However, I’d be shocked if we don’t record our best league position/point haul ever, even if Potter is not given the correct players and our current boys continue to miss chances at almost every opportunity.

45+ points would be good and is sometimes (though usually not) enough for 10th place.

Last season 59 points were needed to get to 10th place and I dont think Brighton are going to get that.

27 points at the halfway point and, as I’m sure I learnt from you, Potter’s teams always do better in the second half of the season. So 59 points could be achievable!

BTW we were fantastic today, especially in the 1st half. Ally Mac to get more games, as he can actually shoot, unlike his midfield colleagues?
