2-0 game over
Dazzalewis has his answer (or not - seems it might have been Jamie Smith who scored set up by Torby) :)

Near Ducks, Geese, and Seagulls
Albion reserves progressed through to the Sussex Senior Cup Final with a 2-0 win over Horsham at Woodside Road tonight.

Yaser Kasim and Jamie Smith scored in each half, as the Seagulls booked their place at the first competitive game to be played at the American Express Comminuty Stadium on July 16th.

Albion controlled the pace of the game from the start - but despite bossing possession, chances were at a premium, although Albion broke the deadlock after 20 minutes.

Jamie Strong, recently awarded his first pro contract, pressed down the right side and whipped in a cross, which Kasim met to slot into the right corner from 12 yards.

Albion almost doubled their lead ten minutes later as Leon Redwood overlapped down the left wing from full-back and played a dangerous ball to the back post. Torbjorn Agdestein sored highest but his glancing header went just the wrong side of Mark Zadwadski's left post.

Steve Cook went close on 50 minutes, as he got on the end of Cristian Baz's free-kick and directed a powerful header at goal - but Zadwadski was again equal to it.

Baz and Agdestein both came close late on, but it was not until the 92nd minute when Albion secured the victory with a classic counter attack.

On the counter attack striker Agdestein showed great strength to hold off the Horsham defender before squaring the ball to Smith, who slotted home from ten yards.

Albion: (4-4-2) Poke; Strong (James Smith 48), Cook, Hall, Redwood; Jamie Smith, Kasim, Battipiedi, Baz (Simmonds 79); Holroyd (Barker 48), Agdestein. Subs not used: Walker (GK), Sherriff.

Just back from the game. Their keeper was excellent. Baz showed some pace but I have a feeling him and Batti's days are numbered.

All credit to the Horsham fans who sung for the full 90 minutes (they even changed ends at half time in the hope of seeing their team score). We could learn a few new songs from them.
