All the hard work at Leeds was thrown away tonight.

Spot on.

From the first 10 minutes, tempo, formation and pass completion awful.

I've seen quite a bit of Millwalll recently, and other then Henderson, they have been largely poor to average. Tonight we made them look good, they were the best team, and deserved to win. Thank Christ for Kazenga's fumbled thunderbolt.

Buckley, Vicente & Sparrow sorely missed.

The naive formation of 3 upfront, although helping midfield out a bit, alllowed a repetition of the Sept'11 home game versus CPFC.
Henderson was the equivalent of Murray, and Millwall swamped the centre midfield to win 9 out 10 50:50's.

Add terrible passing by Dunk and Navarro.

An awful HOME performance.

Sorry i disagree. Lack of fight? how many goals in the last 5 mins have we had recently. YES....we played poor this evening but we are not going to play well every game OR rule this league this season. 9th and 2 points from the play off places exceeds my expectations this season

8th, 1 point adrift

The front three were narrower than normal. There was no one hugging the touchline and so the Millwall defense was not stretched until Noone and Agdestein came on.
What the reasoning for this was, I do not know.

Whatever the reasoning was, it was clear to most of us that it was fundamently flawed. What's the point of laying a wide pitch for playing wingers and then not starting with anyone of note wide outside? Bizarre. I think Poyet was trying to be too clever although quite how I'm not sure?

I should add - I thought that Millwall were one of the better sides we have seen this season. Man for man they certaintly looked more up for it tonight than we did.

Ok not lack of fight perhaps lack of conviction in certain tackles. There was at least one 50/50 that was not contested by Bridcutt that he would have usually thrown himself into as I guess he wants to play on Sunday.

4-2-1-3 will never work in this team unless we have someone quality playing CAM like Vicente or Buckley who were both missing tonight (presumably due to injury?). We also severely lacked impact players tonight, it shows how clueless we look going forward when Vicente and Buckley are missing. LuaLua was the only player who looked like doing something (admittedly the goal was fluky but at least he gave it a go). Before LuaLua came on all we could do was hoof hopeful balls up towards Vokes, shows that our squad still needs improving... I even think someone like Harley could have made the difference tonight, we lacked creativity completely

So when I stated earlier in this thread that it was maybe a major factor about having one eye on Liverpool game you are agreeing then?

Formation and tactics wrong tonight. We were outmuscled in midfield. How sponsors gave Navarro mom i'll never know.

Agreed. He went missing for most of the game. It may have something to do with Navs and Nooney being told that they are starting against Liverpool.

GP accepts responsibility for selecting a side that didn't work. #bhafc

I should think so - Well done Gus.
