He might not be the classiest but he might just be the toughest British fighter of all-time. Each of his last 8 fights have been against bona-fide world class boxers. If only Calzaghe had his balls we might have actually seen how good he really was.

At the time Calzaghe had already beat the best, Kessler. Froch hadn't earned the right to fight Calzaghe back then and Calzaghe would have outclassed him. Clearly if it was Calzaghe 5 years ago v the Froch of today we'd have one hell of a fight on our hands and there might be a different outcome.

Calzaghe did the right thing for himself and his family by taking 2 big money fights in the states to set up his retirement.

I would have to say though, Froch's career has definitely become more exciting than Calzaghe's ever was. Although you could argue that there are just simply more better fighters in the weight class now than there was in Calzaghe's days.

Boxing will always be a sport of if's and but's. I mean we're STILL waiting for mayweather v pacquiao FFS.

Well wasnt expecting that, thought this was a really tough one to call before the fight. Froch was superb. Cant see Bute wanting the rematch........wonder if Kessler will fancy a rematch with Froch at supermiddle weight???? Could be a great fight Kessler looked decent against Alan Green last week.

Calzaghe had the opportunity to travel over to the states to fight Jones Jnr far earlier in his career than he actually did but turned the fight down....... Froch would accept the challenge and go to war, that's the difference between the 2 boxers. Undoubtably Calzaghe was a classy operator but Froch's minerals are far greater.

Would Froch have beaten Benn or Eubank?

Benn definitely as Nigel's main weapon was his knock out power and Froch's chin is granite. Technically he is a far better fighter than Benn.

Eubank in his prime is a very, very tough one to call. I would marginally give it to Froch but would have been a magnificent fight.
