Tommy Cook's scoring record is all the more impressive when you consider that for the first half of his time at the Albion, the offside law was for three defenders to be closer to the goal line, not two. The law was changed in 1925 to just two, and again in 1990 for the attacking player to be level rather than behind the second-to-last defender.

A very lovely gesture by the Albion and Sussex CCC, we are so detached by time its hard to fully appreciate what an amazing/outstanding sportsperson Tommy was. He was a unique one off for our Club.
