This just reminds me that signing AK for a mere £2m as recently as Jan 2016 is probably the best bit of Albion business since picking up Peter Ward for £30K in 1974.

Good player and would have been very happy at that fee but yes lots of other factors. Sounds like we got a better player anyway if visa comes through but still would have been a luxury to have both.

You're putting 2 and 2 together and making 5. Could be a number of reasons, perhaps he was only going to be in and out of the starting 11 and we were expecting the fee Leicester were demanding to be less.

This is a real shame. He looked a great prospect.

He would have been superb at left wing or number 10. But if he has taken the salary rather than the opportunity to play Premier League football, I'd question his commitment to us long term.
