Lets be honest we were Toliet today, total Armitage Shanks. Our midfield performed and Hammond and Birten were very good but the defence was average and the attack non existant.

Bristol City were a bunch of cheating bastards and the referee was a disgrace but they hit the woodwork twice and we did not have a shot on target in 94 minutes , not that I can rememebr anyway.

Did not look a sending off and Basso deserves a slap. Why did Sullivan go over and shake his hand and our other players as well at the final whistle , twatting him one would have been more appropriate.

Savage was useless today and Gatting well can you imagine him scoring the goal Jevons did , er no.

Our home form this season is shocking and the performances prertty dire on the whole.

Flinders 6

Mayo 6
Butters 5
O careull 5
El Abd 5

Cox 6
Hammond 9
Birten 8
Ward 6

Savage 4
Gatting 3

Hammond had a good game today. He has had a great season and the goal tally says it all
I think Ward loses the ball far too easily and often gets caught in possesion and not just today either

other than Bertin Hammond & El-Abd they were all poor, how the hell did cox get mom? surely that should have gone to Bertin.
How many more games is Ward going to get in an Albion shirt ? the bloke is an absolute wanker - couldnt control a bag of cement & hasn,t got the strength to hold of a challenge. The only person to have a worse game was the ref - mistake after mistake after mistake. We never looked like getting anything from the game but the ref gave Bristol every assistance he could.

Ward and Cox were excellent first half when we played it on the deck.

So why did we lump it over them in the second half and play direct. It never caused them serious problems unlike the openings we created first half which we should have finished better.

I am in two minds about the sending off. It looked like a little stamp on his back as he skipped over him. For that, he had to go, but I am unsure as to whether there was contact.

Starting berth for Revell? Gatting didn't really get into the game properly.

Mayo wasn't too bad, but his distribution was very poor in the first half. He wasted alot of ball when we needed to put further pressure on Bristol.

We lost to one of the better sides in the division and I am not going to start panicking again. We must push on with our decent away for and hope for the best at home.

Can't be arsed to rate anyone. Except for Mike Dean 2/10

Flinders - 7 Bit butterfingered but a couple of decent saves.

El-Abd - 6 This is why he's not a right back. Even when he has passes on, he hoofs it.
O'Cearuill - 7 Did fine.
Butters - 6 Not at his best, Lynch was missed.
Mayo - 6 Ok. Supports attacks more than El-Abd, but he's not very good at it. :lolol:

Cox - 5 Looked up for it in the first half, although his crossing and final decision left a lot to be desired. Barely in the game second half.
Ward - 4 So frustrating, he's clearly got some ability but possibly the most wasteful player I have ever seen. Not your typical Aussie battler either.
Bertin - 7 Classy but I would like to see him come forward more when we're on the ball, especially when we're losing.
Hammond - 8 MOTM Worked his bollocks off from box to box, and one of the better players on the ball, shame it went over the midfield most of the time.

Gatting - 5 Him and Savage are too immobile as a pair and played too far apart.
Savage - 5 Slightly disappointing after raising my expectations of him!

Subs -
Revell - 6 Gave us a bit more movement up front.
Elder - 6 As above
Fraser - 5 Didn't do much, didn't look a red but not really the man you need to chase a game, where are Robinson and Hart?? We need to be able to change things from the bench, not swap like for like.

I don't think anyone played THAT bad (bar Ward..).
Mayo had his best game for a while and Bertin had excellent first half, anonymous in the second.
Savage should have been MoM, he never gave up and battled constantly.

Bristol City were good, not as good as I expected but once the Ref started giving every little niggley tackle their way you just new it was going to be their game.

imo only bertin, hammond and o cearill deserve a 7,the rest and yes even coxy 55555555555555555.for me gatting needs a kick up the backside, and ward hasnt done anything since he came ok he scored, but pus us in danger most of the game,he wants to much time, and wastefull passes.2nd half was desparate, hoofing to know one.glad i didnt get carried away, mind saying that we were outplayed at gillingham, and we won!!city werent that good either

Mostly because he had no-one to pass to. Hammond spent a lot of time inside in a way that Cox doesn't so Mayo is usually faced with a hoof up the pitch having had the ball laid off to him short by Butters.

As for the corners - who else does anyone suggest takes them? Hammond? El Abd?

I think we expect too much from Savage now. There is a reason he only had 2 goals in his career before he came to us.

Ward and Cox where excellent? I must have been watching a different game.

Really don't see what Ward offers to be honest. With the exceptiion of the goal last week, he has contributed nothing in his last 5 games that has made me think he's better than Loft.

And are the sponsors paid to vote Cox man of the match or something? Ran around a lot, but what did he create? What did he do?

Flinders - 6- couldn't do anything about goals, but dropped a couple of balls.
Mayo - 7 - A fairly tidy performance, but distribution was poor. Why was he playing though?
Butters - 7 - Didn't really do anything wrong, although not as dominating in the air as he has been in recent weeks.
O'thingy - 6 - Alright i suppose....
El-abd - Shocking. After a good game on Tuesday, he was back to last weeks form, getting done time and again. NOT a right back, better centre half.
Cox - 5 - Some tackling, not a lot else.
Bertin - 7- MOM - Good first half performance, good passing, good tackling. Passing got sloppier as the game wore on though, but i do think that's his best performance so far (and i know 99% disagree).
Hammond - 6 - Too deep for my liking until he was moved to left midfield, showing he's not a winger. Some good play though.
Ward - 4- Not convinced. Gives the ball away far too much.
Savage - 5- Solid enough first half, but then seemed to be playing wide in the second, where he did bugger all. Not allwed to come deep in the way that's been effective last couple of games.
Gatting - 4 - I'll be suprised if he starts next week. He might be a good finisher, but he's got to start doing more to get into the positions. In his defence, he does recieve the ball with back to goal most of the time.

subs:
Revell - 5 - lots of running but to no avail
Elder - 5
Fraser - sat in line with it, can confirm he was sent off for f*** all, but then everyone in the ground (other than Mike Riley) could tell you that.

Gatting 0 - how can you rate a player who didn't contribute?

Subs:

Fraser 0 - see Gatting. Did his usual show of anonymity, but instead of not actually touching the ball he polished this display off with a shocking cross AND a red card. Bravo.

The Complete Badger 0 contributes a lot, but as usual its a load of old shite.
which of Gatting & Fraser are you aiming to drive out of the club next?
what a cock!
