When I do toast for my son, I cut each slice into quarters. For others, I cut slice in half, generally at a jaunty angle somewhere between the conventional rectangle and triangle shapes.

However when making toast for myself I leave the slices whole.

What do you do?

usually half rectangle but what is on it is more important. If an egg or beans or similar it stays whole slice but the rectangle for my favourite dripping and marmite or butter.

Can't be arsed with toast. It's just boring.

I always have it whole. There somehow seems to be less of it when I cut it in half.

Swamped with Marmite of course, or a Dairylea triangle.

I grill my sourdough, and leave it whole.

My son - quarters - square.
My wife - triangles with crusts cut off.

me - well its complex - It depends entirely on the topping or situation. in fact toast or a sandwich can be RUINED if the rules are not followed.

Same as the correct glass of drinks. Milk own glass, coke own glass, whiskey - special tumbler, the list goes on and on.
