Up in the West Upper the sound was horrendous but am I imagining the lack of Sussex by the Sea when we came out because we couldn't hear it if it was there?

No, sorry, I missed cos I was late getting in to my seat cos I had to go back to my car for my mask. Got in just as we kicked off.

Sat in west upper for the first time tonight and could hardly anything from the speakers. Are they always that bad?

Got home with a croaky voice. Enjoying a congratulating glass or 2 of wine watching MoTD

I didn't hear it either from the West Upper and I was in my seat about 25 minutes before kick off. I'm almost certain it wasn't played before kick off.

No idea. First time up there for me too. And the last. Nice to get a good view of play but too detached from the play and yes the sound was awful. Which isn't to say it wasn't a fantastic evening.

Agree. Been up there a couple of times...nice for being able to analyse what is going on, but can’t wait to be back downstairs for the new season.

Exactly the same.
The atmosphere was incredible tonight. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed being at a live game, watching the players respond to the crowd, gaining confidence as the game went on, and never giving up.
Lovely to see familiar faces in the stand,
Brighton is back, the fans are back and my mojo is back.
Television will never replace a live game.

I’ve got no voice

Moder is s a beast of a player, very good 1st touch made many decent runs down the left, he’s going to be one hell of a player

Lallana changed our shape and just oozed confidence to the rest of the team

Ben white is going to burst the net at some point

I’ve been critical of BDB but he grafted tonight and fully deserved his goal

We’ve just beaten 10 Man City without Dunk, Veltman, lamptey, March, Maupay and lost welbeck in the 1st half

My god I’ve missed going to football, need to sleep but I just can’t…..

For those that wonder why they missed it, there wasn't any GOSBTS pre match, it didn't happen.

After we gave them a guard of honour they played some weird Premier League anthem.

Goose pimple inducing stuff. You were all magic.

We’ve got to harness this pent up desire for next season and raise the roof most matches. I can’t wait to help out.

I almost got thrown out of the ESU for standing and singing in the first half. Granted i should have been in the north but we couldn’t get tickets there. Steward was a dick. Luckily his senior realise we were only there to support and get behind the team. Anyone who didn’t go because of lack of atmosphere and not a full stadium go. It was fantastic. Great day great result. UTA.

Thought you were saying the South at first as some lads behind us were continually getting grief from the stewards for standing. They probably should have done as they were told but the stewarding was pretty proactive.

I was there and wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Trossard’s magnificent goal did for my voice, let alone what followed!
