Got a sore throat from so much singing and shouting tonight. God I've missed that feeling of being at a match we win. Reckon I'll wake up smiling tomorrow too.
Same, cant talk we shouted and sang so hard in the West . What a great atmosphere all around , The players certainly reacted...so glad my son and I were there

It was ****ing brilliant ..lost voice supporting the team ..abusing the ref and shouting “Foden Foden what’s the score ...knackered

Yep, the one good thing about being in the South stand behind the goal was that song aimed at that little snide. His goal was quality though but his celebration classless.

I am another who now has no voice. Goodness knows how I am gonna teach tomorrow!

And yet with 30,000 in the ground it is often as quiet as a primary school playground in the summer holidays.
I think final proof tonight that after a tough season in an empty ground, a great atmosphere does help the players to perform and its up to the fans to provide it.

It’s really not - it’s always a pretty decent atmosphere at the Amex compared to most grounds I’ve been to for sure.

Not sure any prem teams will match that atmosphere with reduced capacity - unreal.

And yes Foden was a classless prick for celebrating like that. Him and Ederson got what they deserved.

Have to thank little Hucker for getting the tickets for tonight. We were in group 4 so thought no chance.
What a truly memorable evening, and so great to feel that atmosphere. Beats watching it on the TV every time.
Youngest Grummitt did us Group 4ers proud on the tickets front and came back from Manchester Uni especially for the game.[emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

It really was loud. Loved that all around me the singing carried on almost without pause after the first goal too. Good to hear Potter getting some songs and love even when we were behind as well.

Well, I enjoyed that.

However, I did miss Sussex by the Sea, which I was really looking forward to, as the traffic was horrendous getting to the Amex tonight, and, yes I left my mask in the car and had to go back for it.

But, what a night.

BBC report sums it up quite well for me. Bloody fantastic night out.

The crowd lifted, it provided a surge of belief through the home players, which they rode to victory. In a period of sustained pressure, the excellent Ben White saw two long-range efforts blocked.

They were not to be denied, as Webster struck with his header before Burn hammered home at the second attempt, choosing the best possible moment to score his first goal for the club.

The cheer at full-time was more representative of a full house than just under 7,500 - and spoke of a unified approval of a job well done and a joy at what live football can provide.

Up in the West Upper the sound was horrendous but am I imagining the lack of Sussex by the Sea when we came out because we couldn't hear it if it was there?
