Maybe if he did call them f***ing wankers it was a little OTT. However does that mean it is okay to throw objects at him? If it had been seen by the ref then the club would be facing a FA hearing all because someone got upset at being called a name.

Im certainly not defending that but I didn't see any of it either.

They made him look a fool in front of thousands of people when he is tryin to concentrate on his professional job. Fair enough - it can be funny. But what is the complaint when he responds ?

You've answered your own question. The goalkeeper is a PROFESSIONAL. Rightly or wrongly, he's got to rise above the antics of oppositions fans who are trying to wind him up. It's part of the game.

Price is a quality keeper.. That save he made for Lutons last penalty was one of the best penalty saves i've ever seen...

He was good for a laugh then and definately enjoys a bit of banter... but whoever the people were who lobbed bottles and coins at him are royal TWATS.

It may have become part of the game, but not part of the game that worries me. I have no objection to a keeper responding like he apparently did. The crowd winds a player up, he responds - why is there a problem.

To be all precious makes supporters look a little wet.

You really are an embarrassment.

For those who were not there;

The oppo keeper (Lewis Price) went to retrieve the ball from us after it went wide and some immature loser/hilarious gagster threw it miles over his head.

Price shook his head a bit and looked pretty unimpressed. For this HEINOUS CRIME (treating the person with the contempt he deserved) he then got abuse for the rest of the game.

Some people really are pathetic.

This is what's wrong with the game. Not what happened at the match. The ability for people like you to comment on every microism that may or may not have happened; and then spout off about it to an audience of hundreds afterwards. :wrong:

From where I was stood, it was just the usual "whooaa...you're shit ahhh", which has been dished out indiscriminately to opposition keepers longer than I've been following the Albion.

If stuff was thrown/"paedophile" shouts done, then I spose thats different, but I thought it was all good natured stuff.

The only word I can find to describe the people pissing their pants on this thread is *****.

Sorry but you are *****, plain and simply *****.

You are the sole reason why myself and many others don't bother any more.

Banter involves a modicum of intelligence and/or wit. Do you think repeatedly calling Price 'rapist' and 'paedophile' satisfies that definition?

Sadly, there are people thick enough to believe that sort of thing is funny. ???

Morons, of which there were plenty in our end on saturday, as usual.
