Feb looks crucial. Keep up this form against teams we should be taking points off, and we're looking at an amazing season. Fail to win those and the tracker slides quickly back to parity. No reason to assume we won't get points, but it does look an important period.

Agreed. I'm checking the tracker after each game to look ahead of us, not backwards fearing relegation like in previous seasons. That Europe line...

Oh cr@ap, we're still very much in January, another 10 points and the sheet is rendered useless.

Now 5 points over after another lovely draw. We love draws, we really do.

Can we hit 39 points by the end of February?

Watford, Burnley and Villa plus likely free hits against Man Utd and Spurs that could be scheduled in.

Rumours/speculation that:
Man Utd game could be fitted into GW25 in the midweek between Watford and Burnley (Tue 15 / Wed 16 Feb)
Spurs game could be fitted into the following GW26 in the midweek between Burnley and Villa (Tue 22 / Wed 23 Feb)

Potentially 3 home games in 8 days.

If we can pick up our 'target' points that's 37, Watford looking shaky and you'd like to hope we could get a win, with two free hits on top.

But I've been a Brighton fan long enough to fear we will lose one of the target wins and probably draw the other, plus Watford could well be on another new manager bounce by then.

So a regression towards the black line and away from the orange one is more where my expectations lie, and the hope/dream would be 39-40 points before March.

I look at things very differently. The Tracker bore far closer resemblance to our results under CH than it does for GP. We rarely picked up anything from the top six under CH, whereas we have done consistently under GP. We're less effective against our relegation (ex?) rivals now, because we're less good at breaking down teams that play a low, deep block than we are at exploiting opportunities against the (top half) teams that come at us.

The first two show how well we are doing, 22 points from a target of 7 points.

The last one tells us what we already knew, that we struggle to win against the teams that are defending for their lives and don't give us space to play into – 8 points from a target of 18 points.
