What a TOTAL smash up. Supreme performance. Dare I say it, a top six performance. Wonderful.

FOUR over. I shall be standing down very shortly.

Anything we get in the next three games is a bonus.

We need you again in August. When we have a slump in the season, it’s your thread that keeps me on an even keel.

50? It's on.

That's really what we should be tracking to if our ambition is really "regular top ten" rather than "just staying up". However, we'd need a whole new set of rules for a 50 point tracker. Maybe we can just keep in our heads that "10 over" at the end of the season is outstanding, yet where we want to be?

Almost as unlikely as relegation - but I'd be up for it!

West Ham have to play Arsenal tomorrow but will have an eye on their European semi final on Thursday. So a defeat to Arsenal isn’t too unlikely. Their next league is away at Norwich, pressure’s off for Norwich as their relegation is already confirmed and West Ham will have a European hangover. West Ham could lose. They then play Man City, no big surprise if Man City win that.

All we have to do is win away at Leeds and before that win at home ….. oh shit. Ok not going to happen.

Normally I'd be dreading being 7up as from memory the two previous times we've managed it we've then gone in dreadful runs.

Happy to be proven wrong though.

Strange first sentence. Top ten is the stated ambition. Oh how we laughed in the middle of that no wins run, it is now possibly back on. Sort the home form out and….dreams about Europe?

Time to get firmly on that Potter broom GB and stop doubting the club’s ambition

I have to confess, you weren't the first poster I had in mind for "keeping on an even keel".

I can feel down in the dumps as much as anyone, when things aren't happening for the Albion. I try to keep positive when I can. Giraffe's thread helps me.

I think he's doing a good job, especially now we've got the players to carry it out.

And there's a thing, give a craftsman good tools and he will create something nice, like a nicely finished table.

Give him substandard or likely to break tools and he will still try his damndest to do his best, but the table will always look a bit shoddy and have a poor finish!

True , but doesn't quite explain why the table is so sturdy when you take it out of your house but goes all wobbly when back home ?

That's because the visitors don't respect the table, they bring 11 friends round who just lean all over it, wobbling it to see if there are any mistakes in its build, waiting for scraps to fall their way, with no feelings for their host.

Sometimes the posh boys come round and show how a table should be made, but then they have the money to not only have the best craftsmen but also the best tools too, many specially imported to do the job.

A cheeky up date of the full league table after this weekends fixtures shows Leeds in the predicted bottom three for (possibly) the first time this season. Now that would be a thing of beauty.

And we are getting dangerously close to this being the season that justifies the 40 point benchmark.

What a great exchange. This is why I enjoy NSC!

:lolol:

Possibly one of the wittiest posts I've seen on NSC (certainly to rival Simster's and Harry Wilson's Tackle's).
