Whilst I'm loving the positive post amongst the histrionics going on today. There weren't that many games that we could score below expectation from the last 7 were there..

Shshhhh :)

Had to happen eventually: we had our expected loss, and all 4 of the chasing teams had a win. On the positive side, Palace remain a target.

Wish list for the next round:

- West Ham vs Watford DRAW
- Villa and Muff to lose their games
- Palace get thumped
- Ings picks up a minor injury in training or gets rested, we thump Saints.

No I don't think that, but it is still losses all the way for Villa and the rest as far as I am concerned - until we cross the line and can belatedly start focusing on the prize of next PL season.

Spot on

Can I say it this time?

But that includes 4 points from West Ham v Watford, and from West Ham v Villa.

Sorry, bit tardy updating my sheet...

It's still mathematically possible for Villa and Watford to jump us, but is highly unlikely. We can definitely now focus on Palace, Newcastle, and West Ham. If we can take 6 points from our final two, and other results go our way, we can still finish as high as 13th.

Watford as a club deserve to go down after yet another stupid decision to sack Pearson ,and looking at their last two games it's not beyond the realms of possibility they are caught by Villa .

Not particularly fond of Villa but it would teach them the ultimate lesson of how to turn relative safety into disaster .

One of the strangest sackings since that Teamlike Brighton sacked CH.

Maybe next season's tracker should be based on where we expect to progress to, mid table security, and the target is 52 points?

I was also thinking this, but then realised that any change is bad and means we are a shoe-in for relegation.

Indeed. And anyway thats why I added the Europe tracker element.

Damn straight! First target should always be 40 points. After that we can afford to get dreamy but we’re still miles off anything other than lower mid-table.
