We have quite a tough run in - but we're also looking a stronger side than we were.

Mar 8, 2025Fulham (form might be just going off)Home
Mar 15, 2025Manchester City (hard game whatever their form - but not as invincible as they were)Away
Apr 1, 2025Aston Villa (unpredictable side with the distraction of europe)Home
Apr 5, 2025Crystal Palace (hitting their straps)Away
Apr 12, 2025Leicester City (surely we can't be as profligate again?)Home
Apr 19, 2025Brentford (are they feeling the effects of the injuries?)Away
Apr 26, 2025West Ham (Potter.... come on the Albion)Home
May 3, 2025Newcastle United (you'd think we're evenly matched)Home
May 10, 2025Wolves (stop Cunha, win the game)Away
May 18, 2025Liverpool (hangovers or pressing to get over the line?)Home
May 25, 2025Tottenham (anyones game - we might need the points more?)Away

Fair assessment, very tough run in on paper. I hope Liverpool have the title sewn up be then and do a 'BHAFC' when we got promoted from the Championship.

you'd imagine that wolves (presumably not going down), Liverpool (champions), West ham (safe mid table) - will have little to play for. Spurs possibly although they might still have outside chance of Europe if they have a good run in.

Potter would love to stop us getting Europe.

If forced to make a prediction, I'd say a top 4 of Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Newcastle. In that order.

That would leave Forest, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Fulham and Villa as our competition for the other European places. I think that Forest have started to slide a bit, like when Leciester had a couple of seasons in a row when they had spent all season in the top four, only to stumble and be overtaken by the big boys at the end. Their manager is an old head who needs to be able to keep them focused. Chelsea are still going to struggle to win consistently enough without a striker to maintain their challenge. Villa might slip off because of European involvement.

You could put a cigarette paper between the rest. It'll be down to who can maintain consistency and to RDZ's fabled 'big balls'. We're very young, but then so are Bournemouth. One thing that may help is that we're one of the teams that has done it before. It's new to Bournemouth, Forest and Fulham. Twelve of our squad (Steele, Dunk, Webster, Van Hecke, Estupinan, Lamptey, Veltman, Ayari, Hinshelwood, Mitoma, March & Welbeck) were here during 22/23 when we last qualfied, although Ayari and Hinshelwood played very little. Adringa, Kadioglu, O'Riley, Minteh, Wieffer and the injured Igor have all had experience of qualification from other European Leagues, and then there is the vast experience of James Milner.

Even being in the frame after such a difficult December and January feels great. If we don't get over the line against very stiff competition, like Hughton's first full Championship campaign, it will still be a learning experience and we would hope to be better next year.

Oh ye of little faith. We're going to win the FA Cup. Pep and City are finish.
They're not Finnish, they're based in northwest England.
