Also interesting to note who has the easiest first half of the season:

Fulham and Brentford 24 first half v 16 second half followed by Man Utd and West Ham 22 v 18.

We are even split 20 v 20 along with six others.

Hardest first half of the season is Wolves and Man City with 16 v 24. No wonder the latter always finish well, it's a fix ;)

So, Man City just need a win and a draw, then they can put their feet up until the new year.

I reckon City might be aiming for more than 40 points as a first target though.

Staying up tracker a bit pointless under de zerbi. Think 30 points enough this season.

Also, average of 63 points last 22 years gets you 5th / champions league (maximum was 70) so perhaps we could add this ;)

We are 5/6 to finish top 5.

You've been on this forum for 20 years I'm surprised you can take this mindset

I've just realised how lob sided our fixtures are, playing Newcastle, Man Utd, Villa and Bournemouth really early and then the reverse fixture isn't till right at the end of the season

How very dare you !
If nothing else it serves as a reminder of who we are and where we have come from. It is like something warm and comfortable that you cannot be parted with despite it being out of fashion.

To add a bit of perspective here is how everyone is doing against their trackers. Good start for Chelsea and Man Utd :ROFLMAO:

Is that right that Newcastle were expecting 0 points from their first 5 games if so maybe their start hasn’t been as bad as it’s being made out in certain quarters of the press and they’ve actually had a tough run of fixtures start to the season.

Yes - that does seem a bit odd....they would surely have been predicted to get something from home games vs Villa and Brentford?

How can people STILL not understand the rules of the Staying Up tracker?

Points are only "predicted" against teams that finished in the bottom half the previous season and the promoted clubs. Villa and Brentford finished 7th and 9th respectively.

They were in their Europe tracker - so with 6 points at present they're 1 under for Europe...

(being the point they would have expected at the AMEX)

Indeed.

The points listed are the points they'd 'expect' in a theoretical season where they were only targeting / forecast FORTY points.
