Nothing to do with arse licking !!! I feel ANY manager be given a reasonable length of time to prove ( or otherwise ) themselves. That should be a minimum of one season including BOTH transfer windows. Assuming all the doom mongers are correct ( and in my opinion they aren't ) and we get relegated AND we're struggling in League Two in the lead up to Christmas then sack the WHOLE management team. Until that time I will continue to support Adams.

that is actually a very subjective argument. For the Mansfield game, what about Leeds or Forest away last season?
I think what most people would agree with here is a profound sense of dissapointment....over Dean Wilkins, Ian Chapman, performances under Adams and the perception that in fact we have gone backwards not forwards. Yes it is only half a season, however( and I didnt go to Swindon so I dont know) but some fans seem to be accepting that playing a game where we only have 4 shots all game seems to be some kind of victory, irrespective of the result

To add my humble opinion to this borefest. Agree, give a manager a season to turn things around IF he takes over a failing team. If the team is fairly successful, Why would you need so much time?
Tell me you didn't really register that username just to post an arguement against my alledgedly arselicking opinion ?
I stand by my opinion regardless of what type of team the manager takes over - it takes time to adjust to a new managers style and requirements.

A blind faith in anyone's ability is more than a little dangerous. Adams is no more than a very average lower division manager IMHO - and we need to recognise that if we are to make progress as a club. He is not the man to lead us out at Falmer - of that I have no doubt.

Well I'm not so sure he will be here until the end of the season.
DK and the Board will be praying our results pick up on a consistant basis as the fans will only put up with so much for so long. What we are being dished up week in week out has been dire to say the least and 2 home league wins so far is simply unacceptable.
Most other managers would have already been shown the door and it's because the Board have created this mess they don't want to be seen accepting their mistake by taking the action most people think would be the right thing.
When yuo play the likes of Virgo, Fraser and Thommo as wide right then the tacticul accumen of the manager has to be called into question.
When you are 21st in the League with a squad that is more than capable of being a top 6 team then something somewhere is wrong.
We have to get 27 points from 23 games and on the evidence so far, there is no guarantee we will get them, with or without new signings.

The 1st year of DW's reign there was a prolonged spell of some real dire football from jan-Mar and without a surge at the end we were heading for the relegation zone and in his 2nd season we were pretty awful before xmas as well.
Give Micky the 2 seasons that DW got and then judge him I say. I seem to remember he got us promoted in his 2nd full season in charge last time NOT the first!

IMO we were doing ok up until xmas last season, until the contract fiasco for which DW seemed eventually to carry the can. He then performed really well to get the team back on track

Spot on! That was the main reason I gave up my season ticket after 7 years!
It was truly dreadful football.
MA should still be given until the end if this season at the very least. We can't keep chopping and changing our managers.

Yes, but things were never this bad. If i remember correctly, we spent most of the season hovering around mid-table. Then we went on a good run in march and missed out on the play offs by a few places (i think we finished 11th). Were never serious relegation candiates.
Although I agree with your views on Wilkins, It dosent mean that the anti adams lot were pro wilkins. We never suggested getting adams back!

Are you saying that (managerial newbie) Dean Wilkins' jammy season got his side 7th despite disputes with the board/contracts and no actual money to spend, .....umm...... while Adams with his Championship draftees, inc. Robbie Savage, and his long managerial experience in every division - has a HEX against him with these results?
I've heard it said that league 1 has improved that much this season that it's surpassed modest BHA capabilities - so your view of things must show there's a different brand of LSD going around.
