I'll refine my prediction.

Southampton, Reading and West Ham are CERTAINTIES for the top six. Birmingham City are MORE THAN LIKELY to finish in the top six. Cardiff will STRUGGLE. Hull City are OUT OF CONTENTION.

That leaves Blackpool, Middlesbrough and the Albion to fight it out for the remaining two places.

It's all about who gets a play-off spot. The final order doesn't matter.

If anyone wants to get into predicting the outcome of individual games, these are the ones that will make the difference:-

Burnley v Brighton & Hove Albion
Watford v Blackpool
Middlesbrough v Cardiff City
Blackpool v Barnsley
Hull City v Middlesbrough
Brighton & Hove Albion v Reading
Derby County v Middlesbrough
Nottingham Forest v Blackpool
West Ham United v Brighton & Hove Albion
Blackpool v Leeds United
Brighton & Hove Albion v Watford
Middlesbrough v Doncaster Rovers
Blackpool v Burnley
Brighton & Hove Albion v Birmingham City
Middlesbrough v Southampton
Barnsley v Brighton & Hove Albion
Millwall v Blackpool
Watford v Middlesbrough

The Albion's results against Reading, West Ham and Birmingham are only important insofar as they effect where the Albion finish. They won't determine which of Blackpool or Middlesbrough will challenge us most.

Considering that some of those 'opposing' sides will be safely mid-table in the final stages, I'd have to say we are the side least likely to make the grade.

West Ham have nothing to lose now they have to win or get a result in the rest of there games. I really think they will go up Auto still, also if anyone watched the Reading game on another day they would have won that, Reading really had the rub of the green.

I can't see it myself. West Ham don't have the crowd behind them - they're too busy criticising Big Sam and leaving early when thinsg aren't going their way. Approx 1/3 of the home crowd had apparently left 20 minutes from the end at the Boleyn yesterday. I think mentally they've lost it - the pressure they're under as thye *have* to go up is really staying to tell.

And it's strange how often people say "Reading had the rub of the green" .... seems to happen nearly every match to them. They're either the luckiest team in the history of the game or they are actually acheiving things but people can't bring themselves to give them credit for it.

Agreed. The fact that they seem to be managed by Matt Lucas, rather than the football genius that is Steve Coppell, doesn't help their credibility.

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
Not so much expecting as knowing its a must win if we are to challenge for playoff place. I was saying the same yesterday about Watfords current form, but to be fair its difficult to name an easy game in this league. There is only tough and tougher. Thankfully its one that falls in the tough catagory.

I think it may fall into the tougher category

We ain't good enough like what has been said, maybe we have players that are being carried along or maybe it's just negative tactics.long as we don't finish 7th I'll be happy.
