I think people are basing the fact they want him dropped from Captiancy because he has missed three penalties.

not at all. dont want him to take another penalty though. even said that after the france game. too predictable. my last post on this thread says why he should lose captaincy.

No-because he has been nothing less than f***ing useless throughout this tournament. He believes all of the hype written and said about himself-deluded, money grabbing twat. If he'd had displayed as much commitment to his football as he does to his endorsements we'd have pissed this tournament.

beckham looked unfit in all 3 games 2 missed pens has cost us, and he partly cost us in 98. he will remain captain while sven is there, but surely beckham will be taking his place in our 11 for granted. o well.

Beckham's been on the periphery of every game this tournament, though.
Not what you expect from your standard midfielder - let alone your supposed "galactico" midfielder - let alone your national team captain. He used to grab games by the scruff of the neck for England - now, when we need someone to do just that, he's been nowhere near.
Sorry - nothing against him personally - but think he has to be classed with Raul and Del Piero as one of the most disastrous, unmitigated flops of Euro 2004 and I would hope he would do the decent thing tomorrow morning and hand that captain's armband to either Stephen Gerrard or Sol Campbell. Then get back to doing what he does best - whipping in deadly accurate crosses from the right wing. Over and over again.
And while anyone can miss a penalty, these last few have been not just inexcusable, but deeply embarrassing. And he must know it.
