I'm pleased about that.

I suppose 3578 posts on the subject is enough though eh?

What is done is done now, however there are a fair few with the same opinion as the truth dawns they did not get tickets.

I await my response from Mr Perry and the final proof of whether this is fair can be measured in Season Ticket renewals or lack of.

So what happens when a STH can't make a game and sells their ticket to somebody else to recoup their money? Who gets the credit?

STH - obviously as they will get the credit for buying the season ticket

I can't afford a lump sum but wouldnt mind a STH having a 10 credit advantage because even with my 22 credits I should still be in with a good chance of getting a ticket. See your point though and its deffo a vaid one.

Then again we are looking at it from a current situation, if we were to draw a prem team in the second round of the league cup it would be different. But saying that by then people should have gained a few credits from doing the august games to give them a slight advantage.

Technically a STH is not allowed to give there ticket to anybody else anyway.

Correct but they do not ask for identity at the turnstiles

Technically yeah but lets talk about reality, It happens at every club and it's something thats rarely mentioned when it comes down to big games. Yes a STH puts the money up front, but if they cant make a game they don't exactly donate that money to the club! They try and recoup it. I'm not saying it's wrong because it suits 2 people, They get their money back and somebody gets a cheap ticket but it's the type of thing that gets forgotten when the big matches come around.

If you read the small print it does say you cannot sell on however at all clubs they are and there is no real way to police this without congestion at turnstiles which would cause more aggro.

I was only able to get a ticket for the chesterfield '01 game as a sth had returned hes ticket (due to the rearragment) as couldn't make the game. I went up the shop thinking they would take mine and rip it up and issue a new ticket at full price rather than my discounted st to another fan. Instead i sold mine on under face value.

That's one reason why i didn't bother getting one this year as i knew i was going away on holiday and would miss some games and wouldn't get face value for the ones i missed, so i am doing that 5 match package through to the end of the season now

Cracking idea! You get a credit for not attending a match and recouping your money! I'm buying a season ticket next season! :clap2:

Seriously what is wrong with that when legally you are not allowed to sell the ticket on ?

I've got nothing wrong with it at all but we get a lot of stuff from STH's who did'nt get a West Ham ticket (And there's a lot like yourself who go home & away who should've) and all they quote is I'm a STH so i'm a superfan. The way I see it is who's the better fan? The non STH who gets to every home game? (Even if it means buying unused season tickets on the cheap) Or a STH who goes to maybe 18 out of 23 games and recoups the money from the other 5 games?

You can call it superfan but the issue is paying up front when the club needs the money which is what STH do.

Anyone could do it and spread the cost over the months with an interest free credit card.

Through choice though. So why do you buy season tickets?

Good question, I suppose the convenience of paying up front in one go and the savings.

Also when the crowds return not having to find four seats together every other week and the effort to keep booking things through the club.

wots wrong with a points system every season ala EnglandFans?

Lets say, 1 point for a home game, 2 points for an away game and Season ticket holders get 2 point head start.

Then if a game is over subscribed [ala FA cup away or woteva] 60% of tickets go to the top same number who have the most points and the other 40% of tickets go into a ballot for all others that applied?

then any unclaimed tickets from those who had them allocated go on general sale.

But to be fair its only once a season if that, that we get a problem like this so is it really worth putting a system in place?

That, or Turkey's idea both sound like good solutions to me. Although perhaps the season ticket holders should be given their 23 points throughout the course of the season, to keep everyone more even.

I don't think for a second that season ticket holders deserve ABSOLUTE PRIORITY in anything other than home games, some of the shit said on Harty's phone in was outrageous.
Also has it been considered that with season ticket holders also being away members, they were entitled to any one of the 5000 West Ham tickets?
