Was out on patrol in Brighton last night. Some incredible flashes of lighting out over the sea but didn’t turn into rain or storms. Which was good for us. But made for some great atmospheric lightening displays!

Went to bed early (10PM) in RH20 accompanied by massive thunderstorm but NO rain.

Got up 6 AM to get Sunday paper and it must have come down in the wee small hours as there are pools of water at the side of the road. 1st rain in at least 4 weeks, maybe longer. Apparently a few more rumbles due around 6 PM

Absolute cracker in Horsham about 3am. Very heavy rainfall, some excellent flashes and loud thunderclaps. Although I could have done without being woken up at that time on a Sunday morning.

Woke up to see some rain had fallen here. The weather station confirms it was 3.56mm. Nothing special, but at last we got some!

Returning from the Shuttle last night, saw lots of lightning, but no rain. Unfortunately, my garden has dried out, so using the watering can early this morning to try and save them.
I’d love a big storm tonight to totally soak the ground.
