At work - probably
Tommy Fraser, Gatts and Virgs were in the Watermil afterwards and Tommy said he has never sweated so much as it was so humid. By the way Virgs seemed to have a 40 yr old mate!

I agree Fred an incredibly stupid and insensitive remark. Hopefully, Algie will apologise in due course if he is big enough to see the error of his ways.

Why? He is skinny and needs to build up his physique.I think everyone can see that if he wants to progress. Most youth players are skinny.Get of your high horse

I may be wrong here but I think the clue is in 'father WAS a friend of mine' ...... ring any bells?

My thoughts for what they're worth ...
- Harty and El-Abd combined well down the right in the first half
- Virgs put some quality long balls in
- Jakey seemed unwilling to show his pace and take anyone on
- Loft did OK at LB but at times looked a bit lost, hardly surprisingly, and tried to play his way out of defence too often which nearly played the Hillians in
- Tommo was industrious in midfield and took his goal well
- Sullivan was fine but had little to do
- Second half sub Kane Louis looked lively. Would like to see him get more opportunities. No idea who the rest of the subs were
- Kudos to the 6-8 home fans under the roof who sang from start to finish
- The queue for the tea hut took FOREVER :p

All in all, a worthwhile night and - given the 1,300 crowd - the point well proven that it's better to charge a fiver than a tenner (NB Bognor, crowd 600 or so ...) ???

Bollocks. He reminded me of Molango pre season. Most people with two legs would look ok against Burgess Hill. And he fluffed his one on one chances. Top lad I'm sure, but a long way from a half decent pro. A f*** of a long way.

Lost interest after about 30 minutes, I saw a couple of old mates so was talking to them most of the time. Couple of beers, a pleasant evening, not too sure about the football though, the joys of pre-season.

agreed, game was gash from what I saw, nothing more then a training exercise, I can't beleive some losers bother rating players in a friendly.

My opinion for what its worth in a fairly average performance at best was that Virgo looked good, strolled through the game to be honest.

Thomson was comfortably our best midfielder, neat, tidy, busy and passed the ball well as well as scoring.
Thomson and Livermore will do just fine thankyou very much.

Murray showed a few nice touches but didnt look that interested tonight.
