Sullivan. Not a lot to do, but looked confident and his handling was good.

ElAbd. Looked fine at RB.

Hawkins. Another good game. Commands the centre of defence well. Reminds me of Cullip at his best.

Virgo. Solid. One or two excellent cross-field passes.

Loft. Did well at LB. Interesting selection.

Hart. Good to see him play well. Made the first, scored the second.

Thomson. Nicely taken goal. Fairly anonymous as usual, but that's just maybe his style.

Fraser. Not a bad game in central midfield, but some of his passing was poor.

Robinson. Haven't seen Jake on the left before. Clearly not his best position.

Murray. Fairly poor game. Nothing to get excited about. Maybe he's holding back for the start of the season proper?

Gatting. Slow Joe. Nothing more to say.

Four subs ... no idea who they were. The guy who came on a striker (black guy but fairly light-skinned) looked pretty good. The tall guy who took OGH's place on the right also looked to have potential.

Overall an OK performance. We could have had another couple of goals from the subs who came on. Pitch was pretty bumpy and ball control was not always easy.

He's quite skinny, average height, same sort of black-ness as someone like Aaron Lennon. He seemed to take up a position 'in the hole' tonight, and showed some good control, pace, and a couple of decent shots. Would probably need to bulk up a bit before he threatens the first team but I was impressed with what I saw. I would also say he's got DEFINITE flair potential:thumbsup:

Lost interest after about 30 minutes, I saw a couple of old mates so was talking to them most of the time. Couple of beers, a pleasant evening, not too sure about the football though, the joys of pre-season.

First time i've seen Hawkins can't say i was that impressed, looked a bit of brusier will win headers but not that good at playing the ball. Thought Fraser did well sitting in the middle, Loft was ok at left back think he could play better once he got use to the position. Murrary seemed to be going through the motions which can't really blame him for pre season on shit pitch. All in all good run out but quite a bit of work to do.

Apart from Barney, most people thought Loft did a pretty good job at left back. Does he deserve another chance at this position?

Can't wait for Ben"s Grandads response (as if I couldnt guess!)
