So do I. I'm having to leave the house at 6.00 tomorrow morning to get to the game and the last thing I want to see is an Aussie going-over.

As for the game tonight, I'm with Dave. I think it will closer than people think - SA to win by 7 points is my guess.

I was going to say that they'd lose by more than England will tonight when is saw that they are playing a "home" game, how does that work in a French Tournament?

The French bid provided for games at Murrayfield, Lansdown Road and Cardiff, as an incentive for the Scottish, Irish and Welsh unions to vote for the French bid. Ireland had to "sell" their allocated matches back to France due to the redevelopment of Lansdown Road.

That really is SHIZER, isnt it.

I mean just imagine that happening in the real, PROPER World Cup. Germany host the tournament, but Italy get to play a game in Rome, England play a game at Wembley, and Brazil play one of their games in Rio de Janeiro. The Sausagemunchers agree to all this in exchange for the votes to host to tournament (or whats left of it, after several competing nations eventually make it over there to play a match).

Absolute BOBBINS. No wonder nobody gives a toss about rugby. Its a joke.

Yeah, I mean its NOT like the WC in JAPAN/KOREA so 2 asian nations would qualify or AUSTRIA/SWITZERLAND 2008 at all is it?

TOTALLY different.
The RWC has given away abitrary home ties to non-host nations during a Finals tournament, in exchange for their votes to host it. Thats f***ed up.

In football terms, I don;t particularly like this dual-nation hosting business either as it happens, but at least in those instances, the two countries are declared as the hosts for the whole tournament from the outset.

Other countries gaining a HOME TIE just for voting for the host nation is ridiculous.

I applied when they first came out through London Irish and they went very quickly...I think tried through the RFU again with no luck.

My colleagues at work in "Sales":rant::rant::rant: managed to get hold of a few.

Rugby is so corrupt. I was reading in the times this morning that the 10 tier 1 nations get £3mill each for competing whereas all the other unions get £150k each!

* The 2011 World Cup was ridiculous awarded to NZ instead of Japan.
* Argentina have been persistently rogered by not being invited to 6 nations or tri nations tournaments
* Italy & Argentina *always* appear in groups with 3 tier 1 nations, but strangely seem to get clobbered with the scheduling. This time round, the Argies had to play Georgia just a few days after the France match - the result of which was they were still too tired and perhaps this is what robbed them of a CRUCIAL bonus point.

But Easy, don't forget there are no chavs in RUGGER. It's a hooligans game played by blah blah whereas soccer *yawn* blah blah

You mean "doesn't" I presume.

I don't dislike the game, I quite enjoy it actually. I just get utterly f***ed OFF with the double standards between real football (my code of choice) and rugby union.

Who will the kicker be? We don't have a recognised one playing do we? That bodes well for a team who almost certainly won't be scoring tries
