I would strongly doubt that. This is a structured fraud with bots and worldwide right wingers signing and being told which postcodes to use. They nearly always point to labour constituencies. I saw a list online earlier from a right wing trump pac that listed the top 100 labour mps to target. Brighton kemptown mp is starmer's pps

What I can't understand, is why Musk or anyone else give's the flying fig what is going on on our tiny little island. Obviously we care what happens in the US as it affects us directly, but the other way round? Not so much.

He needs the people in this country to bolster his platforms and his companies (eg Tesla and Paypal). He does that by creating instability and this "two tier" meme that people started is right up his street, his platforms jump on these things, creating tweets, which creates accounts, which creates revenue. He wants less restricted sales, so Paypal can reap the fees on selling...

Instability creates revenue. Anywhere he can threaten "freedom of speech is being restricted" he will dive in and his algorithms will have a field day. The disenfranchised will be hoodwinked, and the wanna be dictator wins...

Petitions like this are clearly pointless. But if it gives people a non violent or non disruptive avenue to vent their anger I don't see any harm in it. Much rather this than holding the traffic up up or pointlessly defacing works of art etc.

Why would Russia want to undermine the UK government? Because (ironically) it is the slightly left of centre governments that are opposed to rolling over and letting Russia tickle their tummies while it invades Ukraine.

I would imagine (in fact I know) they have been being naughty in various countries.

I would also imagine (and again I know) that the cyber wars began quite some time ago. Russia is having a bit of a play, seeing what's what, how different aspects of our lives can be manipulated and f***ed about.

If I were a coked-up steroid-head like Putin, I'd probably be doing the same.

There are over 200 Keir Starmers, and a few Lord Lucans so it’s obviously giving those a good laugh rather than anger.

Well not exactly - Petitions made through Gov.UK with over 10,000 signatures do at least get a written response which is usually just a clarification of Government policy- however, over 100, 000 signatures and the issue is considered for debate in Parliament - I watched a few debates of the Petitions Committee who consider whether petitions should be debated in the House and found them very enlightening.

Petition debates are held in Westminster Hall on sitting Mondays at 4.30pm. They can be watched live on Youtube or parliamentlive.tv.

The current Petitions Committee is chaired by Jamie Stone MP, a Liberal (just in case you think I am making a pro-Labour point) who says:
