Bring back the 1970s, that's what I say.
I read somewhere that the aim is to exceed 9,708,716 being the total number of votes for Labour at the GE.What's the end goal of this nonsense?
TurningPoint UK were one of the instigators of this, which is an offshoot of Trump’s lot in the USA. Undermining democracy with nonsense. What's the end goal of this nonsense?
So another bunch of extreme Right-wingers who only accept democracy when they get the result that they want. Their hypocrisy is as limitless as it is nauseating.TurningPoint UK were one of the instigators of this, which is an offshoot of Trump’s lot in the USA. Undermining democracy with nonsense.
It’s been rumbling since the election that Reform only got 5 seats but similar votes to the LibDems who got 72.
Just like the Tories did before them, you mean? This current cabal think they can lie, lie and lie then get away with it.
Not abolishing the Monarchy?Took a second to look at the data and realise this is a load of nonsense:

239 people from Australia - what could they possibly be annoyed at labour for
Isn’t their major problem with that that the 9,708,716 were actual, British people, rather than internet bots and foreigners?I read somewhere that the aim is to exceed 9,708,716 being the total number of votes for Labour at the GE.
I like to think our campaign with John Prescott was very effective in getting our message across. The difference is we had a realistic chance of achieving success and it was targeted to the decision maker who was ready to listen. A general petition of “I’m unhappy with this, but there’s no actual route to changing it, so here’s my protest signature” is, as you say, pointless.Petitions are a waste of time anyway
Possibly, but seem to see loads online these days and can't think of a recent one that's done any good........................I like to think our campaign with John Prescott was very effective in getting our message across. I see loads being successful all the time, not so much traditional petitions like this one - although successful ones do still happen - but rather “cancellations” and social media movements to get a company to change position on an unpopular decision or action.Possibly, but seem to see loads online these days and can't think of a recent one that's done any good........................
Yep that's fair enough......but not petitions......bit of an anachronism these daysI see loads being successful all the time, not so much traditional petitions like this one - although successful ones do still happen - but rather “cancellations” and social media movements to get a company to change position on an unpopular decision or action.
Company X does something bad, #boycottcompanyx goes viral, Company X changes their policy/apologises/gives the stock “we’ve listened” press release and reverses decision.
No idea how these petitions work or how they are regulated.Isn’t their major problem with that that the 9,708,716 were actual, British people, rather than internet bots and foreigners?
I think a viral social media campaign basically is a petition, just not a formal one like this sillinessYep that's fair enough......but not petitions......bit of an anachronism these days
I hear what you’re saying, but aren’t GBNews and Daily Mail going to do that anyway? All that matters really is Labour’s huge majority when it comes to making policyNot sure this is as harmless as it's being made out to be.
This is an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of a democratically elected government. It's promoted by hostile foreign powers and it's going to be endlessly used by gbnews, daily mail etc to try to belittle and delegitimise everything our government attempts to do
This - no more dangerous than the local town drunk shouting at pigeons.I hear what you’re saying, but aren’t GBNews and Daily Mail going to do that anyway? All that matters really is Labour’s huge majority when it comes to making policy
