Rubber Johnies!
They should provide a natty applicator.
Unless you are expert at snapping one on, you get to that moment, trying to get it out with your teeth and then fumbling around trying to roll it down, even worse if you have a todger like a grand national winner.
By the time you are sure it's not going to ping off you are flaccid.

Passport control at Gatwick airport. Came through through there on saturday night about 11pm. Wide empty expanse of hall with about a dozen people of 'Other' nationalities queueing. Meanwhile a couple of planeloads of EU passport holders were made to form a painfully slow snaking queue in the small corner of the hall for automatic passport readers. Christ knows how that'll ever work at peak times. Progress eh?

Apple phone chargers. They look filthy after a month, they fray and split after 6 months and they’re a ballache to pull out of the socket. Add the actual phone dock which fills with dust and fluff no matter how much you maintain it. My iPhone is good, easy to use etc but the charger grinds my gears.

Moment of clarity here... so THAT's why the instructions tell you to leave it to cool for 2 minutes??

Not the only reason , sometimes hot food can “spit” but yes, when heated the thin plastic film softens, making it hard to peel off in one hit. Allow it to cool, the plastic recovers its integrity and will peel off far more easily.

Stuff that comes in sealed plastic packaging like this. Requiring a moderately dangerous hack round with a bread knife or a pair of scissors.

Especially when the package contains scissors. Is someone having a laugh ?

I remember seeing an advert on US TV about 15 years ago advertising a little gadget to cleanly open these packages. I thought it was a great idea but never found them for sale in this country and eventually forgot all about it. I wonder if I can get ownership of the patent?

I can see this on a future episode of Dragons' Den.

How are these gadgets packaged/ Do you need the gadget to open the gadget?

Changing the subject, I semi agree about the film on the microwavable meals but dislike more the problem of removing the film before oven cooking.
