Busby’s was also the venue of choice for the Brighton and Hove Albion team, then on their way to a Cup Final appearance. Led by manager Jimmy Melia in his white shoes and captain Steve Foster (left) their nights at Busby’s led to acres of newspaper coverage – and relegation!! One memorable night, the Albion team arrived to launch the record they had Just brought out (The Goldstone Rap I think). Two of their then internationals returned asking for a drink at 3.00am. They left at 7.00am to catch the teambus to Liverpool. Needless to say they both had an excellent game and helped Albion to one of the two victories they had at Anfield that season.

Anyone remember the coffee bean roasting shop

Was it along western road near waitrose (cinema there btw!) or was it in north laine somewhere can't remember.......???
