Al Murray was brilliant. I still remember seeing his manifesto: “we’re going to make this country so sh1t, nobody will want to come here anyway!”

Many a true word……..

Farage’s ego would hurt so much from that night.

Who’d have thought that a comedian could be so disruptive? I’m pleased Al Murray drew the line with that, gracefully bowing out on a high.

How extreme. I get news from a wider spectrum than two television channels. [emoji38]ol:
Amusingly you are the mirror image of Farage minus any relevance or impact on the real world, same goes for all the radicalised remainers on NSC .

(some words) ...... Mr Farage is probably the most influential (apart from Mrs T) UK politician in our lifetimes.

...which is why he pockets £50 a pop for doing on demand birthday greetings from his kitchen.

About the same amount the thick mate from The Inbetweeners charges (not that one, the other one).

Unfortunately it seems the lefty lunatics have taken over the asylum on NSC these days. Thankfully on a national level they are the whingeing minority but their continuous bitterness and massaging of each others deflated egos makes this board a tedious place to visit of late.

Minority - parties from Left of centre Lib Dems to Greens got over 50% of the vote in 2019. I’d say the swivel eyed loons holding up Farage as some kind of deity are the lunatics! :lolol:

…….. which is why the Daily Mail buried on an inside page the other day the results of THEIR poll which showed 36% leave, with Remain on 45%.

Sadly true, on the plus side they can whine away on a football forum while the 'gullible thickies' vote to successfully leave the EU and elect governments to run the country [emoji6] [emoji106]

I’ll never forget, going back nearly 20 years ago in the run up to an election Farage was on Question Time, which I was watching with my daughter who was at home on study leave from Cardiff University, revising for her finals in European Studies, which included - obviously - how the European institutions worked.

Just about everything he said, Ellie said: “no it isn’t”, “that’s not true”, “where did he get that from” or something similar. It just became totally clear that he knew nothing about how Europe worked at all.

But at the end of the day he won and she lost so why don't you and her just accept it?

Where has this daft expression “radicalised remained” come from?

Who said we didn’t accept it?

And as you seem to be agreeing, he won by being totally ignorant and lying through his teeth.

If you say so, but you should take your blinkers off, to see people aren’t radicalised but open minded.

I’m a Remainer, but I’ve always reluctantly accepted the vote result, with a mix of political views (I can’t be pigeon holed). No bitterness here and I respect the cross section of views across nsc, it would be rubbish if vocal Brexiteers stopped posting.

Sticking to this thread’s subject of Farage, pre and post the Referendum I’ve thought of him along with IDS as a snide, quite possibly racist, uncaring, not a particularly kind person to say the least. I’ve worked with one or two types like IDS …. complete t@ssers and everyone thought so.

See the Brexit thread ... radicalised remainer is a very polite term for tedious old ***** [emoji16]

I don’t regularly do the Brexit thread.

It’s a stupid expression because radicalised implies people don’t have the ability to work things out for themselves - a sweeping generalisation which would be stupid applied to either side.

And I’d rather be a tedious old fart than a deluded short-sighted idiot who doesn’t realise he or she has been conned all the way. And that’s my sweeping generalisation for the day.

Silly Billy. I can’t remember how many decades it’s been since I last voted for Labour.

What did Farage win? Another election failure to get his prized seat in Parliament. The Tories won Brexit, it was always a Tory fight, and the voters they swung had little to do with Farage. Nigel was just the guy who would do the campaigning no other self respecting person would do, like standing in front of a Nazi inspired billboard. How on earth do people attribute Brexit to this man when he couldn’t even win a seat? Laughable.

Farage lost $10,000 on Trump winning re-election.
