I seems as if I might have caused the plaintiff a gross in justice by assuming that she was the young lady pictured out side the court on sky sports news for which I apologize. I hope that no one in their right mind would appear in court dressed in this manner to bring this type of action against another as it would not be in their best interest to do so. It would be interesting to get the views of those in the legal profession on how they would advise the plaintiff to appear.

apologize ??? are you a american? Apologise.....

That is all :)

What a bunch of total misogynist tossers there are on this post. Not all, but some depressing comments, wind ups or otherwise just make me so sad. There is a time for cheap frivolous comments. When debating a serious case like this, then now is not one of those times.

She can wear what she likes and still deserve the right not to be sexually assaulted. Simple.

I'm assuming most posters here are men. What a sad reflection of attitudes towards women.

Absolutely and utterly totally agree. As the father of two (now grown up) daughters, some of the stuff that comes out of this site annoys me sometimes.... and I don't consider myself a prude. Richard keys and Andy Gray were not alone, and if i was married to either of those two gentlemen, i would have had quite a lot to say to them about what they got up to.

So...let me get this straight...the O/P not only views a woman's outfit as likely to prejudice a jury's view as to whether she deserves to get molested or not, but also considers it likely that a newspaper would identify the victim in such a case in a photograph?

:dunce:

Incidentally, what should a man wear to avoid getting raped or sexually assaulted? If you went out looking particularly hot one night, PSB (unlikely, I know, posters, but work with me here), would it be asking for some burly type to pin you down and force you into sex?

Regarding Hamilton's contribution where he/she states that the woman can wear what ever she want's, in this case in court, I suggest that he/she pays attention to

How a Woman Should Dress for a Court Appearance | eHow.com

How to Dress for a Court Appearance | eHow.com

Both articles raise relevant points.

I would like to draw the attention of my learned friend, in this case Edna Krabapple, to the following

Well done you. I think you'll find the Internet also contains articles on how to construct a home-made letter bomb, ones that explain why gay people deserve to go to hell in a handcart, and informative pieces suggesting ways to get away with drink-driving, but it doesn't mean they're right.

So are you suggesting that the above articles are wrong and should be discarded? I'm sure that both were written by a person with far more knowledge and experience than both of us on this matter.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
It's a sad world when the most morally inch-long and flaccid will look to point their sordid erections in the direction of any female flesh that passes to judge and cheapen. I imagine such unsavoury types lurking behind their beyellowed net curtains in overworn vests and near-fully faded Heidi Hi boxers, and both shaking their bludgeoned and abnormal heads toward schoolgirls at bus-stops and muttering lasciviously seconds later, their grimy hands rubbing their worryingly firm and tiny peni, to a choking self-feather-pecked minor bird the windows were never opened for to let breathe, about what he would do to them if he ever had the chance.

Well, if it was her brief dressed in that manner, she's a cheap tart as well. The young of today have no morals. No wonder the country is in such a state.

And what morals should us young follow, PSB? Please enlighten me with your morality.

Morality in today's society is virtually impossible to create social consensus in such a pluralist society. Maybe if we follow the Muslims Against Crusades guide to Islamic morality, then we can ban such skimpy clothing everywhere!

eHow.com - your guide to morality.
