Deep south
Ah go on, it’s still the international break, Just. Who doesn’t like a music thread.

What was the best music track in the year you started watching the Albion?

The dull part of the south coast
1965. As for music, take your pick. The Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who, Yardbirds, Animals, Small Faces - and that’s just British acts. From the U.S. all the Motown sounds, Dylan, the Byrds, and so on.

This is by no means my favourite track from 1977, but the song title seems apt for the thread. Actually, listening to the song again I've realised that, with some tinkering, it would make a very good song for the terraces - it's quite plodding!

Lancing
I don't remember what was current in 1953, however I still have a mental picture of standing on the East Enclosure waiting for the game to start and listening to Cliff Richard singing Living Doll over the sound speaker system (1959?).
