Although other stations nearby to Charlwood are reporting lower by a couple of degrees, so that will need to be verified.

I expect that to be academic soon anyway.

What are the official weather stations like? Presumably they have to have a shelter over the thermometer to ensure it is the shade temperature. What else should it have to be a verified record?

Nipped out at lunch from the office. 38 according to the car temp and the heat is hideous. Kids are being sent home from school as well. I'm just glad it's over by this time tomorrow (for now anyway). The novelty has long since worn off.
