A 7" of some Thomas the Tank Engine story read by Johnny Morris. Can't remember what it was called, but it involved Thomas being challenged to a race by some cocky tractor. Thomas won because the tractor had to go over a hill and he could go through a tunnel.

I bet Gareth had bet on the tractor :D

Mine was The Mounties Song from Rose Marie on a 78rpm 10 inch disc. in 1954?. Bought it as a birthday present for my sister. Got it home, it slipped off the table and shattered into dozens of pieces.

I bought the very first Now That's What I call Music. Of course it wasn't called 1 as no one knew that hundreds were to follow. I bought NOW 3 as well.

"The Goodies Recorded Almost Live at Cricklewood" including Funky Gibbon and Black Pudding Bertha by The Goodies.

That's actually called The New Goodies LP, and I have a copy in my collection. I'm A Teapot is one of my favorite songs of all time. The version of Wild Thing is fantastic.

That was a joke, OK?! (Wild Thing is funny, though......)

The first single in the list I drew up as a kid was Baby Then by Bobby Shafto. The first I actually remember buying was Peaceful by Georgie Fame.

First Album was Sladest.
