What do people feel would've made for the closest/most deserving final?
The thing with comedy is that it is so personal. The Father Ted V I'm Alan Partridge QF would have been mine, but Slackbladder is a worthy winner

This is the correct answer. The thing with comedy is that it is so personal. The Father Ted V I'm Alan Partridge QF would have been mine, but Slackbladder is a worthy winner
Father Ted was good, but Edmond is leagues above.I remember hearing such strident opinions about Father Ted beating Fawlty.
I suspect you are right, but we shall see.
That would be my equivalent of watching Fulham play PalaceThe thing with comedy is that it is so personal. The Father Ted V I'm Alan Partridge QF would have been mine, but Slackbladder is a worthy winner
Also excellent in 'Deal Or No Deal'.Father Ted was good, but Edmond is leagues above.
With only two hours left, Blackadder seems to have both hands on the UK Comedy trophy.
May I be the first to offer my most enthusiastic contrafibularities.
Only going to be one winner here and may I be the first to offer my heartfelt contrafibularities.
May I be the first to offer my most enthusiastic contrafibularities.
Does Cleese say much that could be compared to anything in Fawlty Towers? I tend to get the impression he just bangs on about free speech a lot and complains about people trying to limit what comedians can joke about (as he sees it).Pleased (and a little surprised) that the right show is winning. It still resonates today whereas some of FT is cringingly dated. And some of the FT satire appears now to be more in line with the actual views of Cleese.
Maybe I've been harsh......Does Cleese say much that could be compared to anything in Fawlty Towers? I tend to get the impression he just bangs on about free speech a lot and complains about people trying to limit what comedians can joke about (as he sees it).
