Where's the evidence to prove it is an uncommon occurrence?
I rather suspect journos would kick up an almighty sink if it did happen, don't you?
Where's the evidence to prove it is an uncommon occurrence?
no, that would be a daft assumption to make from the information. i'm claiming that one highly publised incident doesn't mean it common, which is your claim.
Sorry, my mistake Tiger not lion. Cantona? I'd go for Zidane world cup final.
I rather suspect journos would kick up an almighty sink if it did happen, don't you?
You didn't even know about Miranda until this thread started. You can't just now say it's a one off! Ignorance is a funny thing!
How do you know he didn't? The event was all over the mainstream news for days after it occurred. Although surely if you believe the mainstream news is 'hush hush', they wouldn't have reported it?
I said 'not uncommon'. Regardless, can you prove this was just a one off or is this just your assumption i'm reading? You didn't even know about Miranda until this thread started. You can't just now say it's a one off! Ignorance is a funny thing!
yes i was aware of the story because it was all over the fudging news at the time, it was in papers, on the BBC, on the TV, it was in the IT news bcause of the obvious angle. again, dont try saying something im not, i am not saying its a one off. you claim its "not uncommon" but have nothing except this one well publicised case.
I haven't just posted this 'one well publicised case', your just not paying attention.
Another false accusation. What else are you going to assume?
Journalists and some travellers have been ordered to open files on their laptops and some have been confiscated. It's not un-heard of but it is uncommon. There seems to be a lot of scaremongering about it and from what I have read there are a lot of so called Truther sites making it seem commonplace, which it certainly is not at present. However, I think we will see more of it.
And they use the "red flashy thing" as well, so the journalists have no memory of their laptops being confiscated.
Where's the evidence to prove it is an uncommon occurrence?
Where is the evidence to prove that the virgin birth of a Messiah is not an uncommon occurrence?
Ha! The few that have been subject to having their laptops confiscated, the very few, seem to remember enough to make a fuss. I would imagine having any device confiscated is a risk one runs when reporting in territories that view journalists with suspicion. Hardly a conspiracy, more of a rare occurrence that journalists would naturally be vigilant of.
Logic. Something our Christian society fails in.
Where's your proof journalists aren't facing unlawful restrictions on a common scale? (assumptions don't count)

Yeah, really uncommon....
I win my case.
Care to explain these links then (which you probably wont)? You obviously know more...
