no, that would be a daft assumption to make from the information. i'm claiming that one highly publised incident doesn't mean it common, which is your claim.

I said 'not uncommon'. Regardless, can you prove this was just a one off or is this just your assumption i'm reading? You didn't even know about Miranda until this thread started. You can't just now say it's a one off! Ignorance is a funny thing!

I rather suspect journos would kick up an almighty sink if it did happen, don't you?

Exactly this.

In the article quoted by The Truth, the individual said "I am very angry. This feeling of invasion. It's like I'm naked in front of a crowd," he said. "They said I had to co-operate or else I was going to jail."

These are not the comments of one who knows that these events are a 'common occurrence'.

I know a number of journalists (not sure if The Truth does), and I certainly know that if they were ever subjected to this, they'd speak out even instantaneously on twitter. They're very proud of the British press and the tradition this country's reporting has of risky, investigative journalism.

How do you know he didn't? The event was all over the mainstream news for days after it occurred. Although surely if you believe the mainstream news is 'hush hush', they wouldn't have reported it?

Mainstream news bends the truth. They will still report stuff the 'conspiracy theorists' report too, just in another way. Understand?

:lolol: You don't even read the mantra you are promoting and posting to others, just shows your lack of attention to detail :lolol:

Why are you still analysing my every post? You are making the 'tiger' win his point.

Another false accusation. What else are you going to assume?

Journalists and some travellers have been ordered to open files on their laptops and some have been confiscated. It's not un-heard of but it is uncommon. There seems to be a lot of scaremongering about it and from what I have read there are a lot of so called Truther sites making it seem commonplace, which it certainly is not at present. However, I think we will see more of it.

And they use the "red flashy thing" as well, so the journalists have no memory of their laptops being confiscated.

They're sending journalists to Amsterdam in hope of wiping their memory? I suppose it would work.

Ha! The few that have been subject to having their laptops confiscated, the very few, seem to remember enough to make a fuss. I would imagine having any device confiscated is a risk one runs when reporting in territories that view journalists with suspicion. Hardly a conspiracy, more of a rare occurrence that journalists would naturally be vigilant of.

Where is the evidence to prove that the virgin birth of a Messiah is not an uncommon occurrence?

Logic. Something our Christian society fails in.

Where's your proof journalists aren't facing unlawful restrictions on a common scale? (assumptions don't count)

I win my case.

Care to explain these links then (which you probably wont)? You obviously know more...

The few links that work from your list are specifically about journalists being detained. I would imagine having a device confiscated is the least of their worries. I knew viewing your post would be a colossal waste of time. I will be more disciplined in future. If you bothered to understand my actual posts you would see that I am actually partially agreeing with you. Confiscation of devices does happen and I can see it getting more common. You're too self involved to realise when somebody is actually concurring slightly with you.

You really are a nonsense of a man.
