So the nasty racist Tories have been trying to remove illegal migrants . Shame on them . May should resign and call a general election immediately .

Classic what about twatterry from you. Textbook.

How many times can you say sorry. Government going to get things sorted out, end of story.

Good grief.

If they're 'sorry', it's only because they've been found out. But they're not sorry. Why would they be when this is at the heart of the Immigration Act.

So what are they going to get sorted? The only way to sort it is the complete abolition of the current Act.

So no, - NOT end of story. Very far from it. Hopeless naivety on your part if you believe that.

69 year old Canadian woman moved from Canada to Wolverhampton in 1971, got married, had three children and worked for the local council for more than 25 years as a dinner lady, meals on wheels driver, lollipop lady and cleaner.

A spinal injury a few years ago meant she had to give up her job, leading her to apply for benefits for the first time. In 2015, she was told her disability payments had been suspended because she was an illegal immigrant.

Please read the article. Not just the headline but the way this lady was treated by the civil servants, the threatening letter and being shoved from pillar to post. It's heartbreaking.

Unfortunately you can see from some of the witless and illiterate replies on here that for some people any price is worth paying if we get control of our borders back. Just blame labour, throw a few quid at the unfortunates, and move along. After all, nothing like this will ever happen again, will it?

Apparently the snake, Rudd, lied yesterday about this. Doesn't matter, does it?

Yes it does.

It's ok now, don't worry, panic over.
The targets that Amber Rudd said never existed after saying so in front of the committee and The Commons have now been removed by Amber Rudd.
Next on stage is Bernie Clifton with his Ostrich.

Can't we just stop all this bickering and have the wogs start at Calais again, like they did in the good old days?

I said "Whatever you do, don't let those bloody Huguenots in!" but did anybody listen?
Beginning of the end right there, if you ask me....

Getting the story wrong first time, and endlessly repeating it doesn't mean eventually you will be right. Falsehoods don't operate that way.

The Blues - as you put it - didn't keep anything going. They actively changed the rules.

So are you denying that the whole situation wasn't set in motion by Labour making the decision to destroy the landing cards even though that report you added factually says they did

You clearly didn't read it - it says the exact opposite: "Alan Johnson was the Labour Home Secretary at the time. When asked if he knew that the registry slips were being destroyed, he said: “No, it was an administrative decision taken by the UK Border Agency.”

Sorry how many different Governments have been in power since they came over who gave the instruction to destroy the paper work.
Let's get it sorted it out and keep separate from illegal immigrants.

Labour didn't make the decision. It was the border agency who destroyed them along with a number of other documents as part of a clear out. Retrospectively a bad idea but it would have had no material effect under that administration. There no was agenda.

It was until the Tories changed the legislation (without making it clear) to remove the exceptions in the law for the Windrush generation that the documents became an issue.

Unfortunately the whole documents thing is a distraction. It didn't set anything in motion as you suggest. It was also utterly caused by Tory spin doctors briefing about the documents to deflect blame away from the Government.

Where do you think the press got the story from ?

Labour spun it to say "under Tories", the Tories (from where the story came from) re-checked the date and then blamed Labour.

The reality that the decision wasn't party political or influenced by the immigration debate.

Back to the actual issue, whilst the civil servants in the Home Office have obviously been operating like "drones" the Government were ignoring the numerous concerns being relayed to them for ages.

So stop supporting political parties like football teams.

This is a Tory **** up which they have now fully admitted to.

Even they have stopped defending themselves.

You don't need to do it for them.
