Creatively Oasis didn’t come close to what the roses were (albeit for a very brief period of time).
Oasis were musically the equivalent of MacDonalds.
Two great bands in their own way though.

I used to see a girl whose sister (Emily) was a long-standing girlfriend of Mr. Gillespie.
We were invited to go as his guests to Glasto (possibly '94?) but I bottled it, due to his reputation for huge consumption of 'things'.
I've always regretted that decision.

Oasis at least managed a couple of albums that aren't complete dirge though they seemed to attract the most boorish fans and the saddest tw*ts ruining get togethers everywhere by playing Wonderwall on acoustics.
