If you are doing nothing wrong and TOLD you are being watched I can't see a problem. If you're a decent fan and watched 2 or 3 games in a row WITHOUT being told, swear once and are suddenly banned etc. that would be ridiculous.

Would imagine in most cases though the people being watched are the ones going way over board. As long as they get warnings before someone gives them a ban, if they keep doing stuff, f*** them.

Or - just don't be enough of a cock to cause someone to report you

What if its a complete cock that reports you?

options

A/ i think more cock on cock action is required to sort out what is obviously a contentious issue

B/ if the cock in question is being such a massive cock i highly doubt you will be alone in your concerns......have a quiet word......if that does not work a massive punch to the cock with further threats of cock related violence should do the trick.

some of you should grow a cock!

So what about 1400 Millwall fans all effing and jeffing non-stop throughout the game nothing happens then and likewise for all other away supporters, are we being victimised here, should be 1 rule for all

I'm surprised that anyone is surprised. This happened at Withdean, and someone got banned there because plain clothes stewards observed the same complaints as had been reported. It's nothing new.
But why are posters confining the reporting to a swearing abusive person. Would you use it to shop a racist fan for example?

It's OK, I know Phil's row and seat number. The reports will drip feed in during the next game - 5, 10 or maybe 20. He seems to think nothing is amiss. Let's test that.

Completely out of order Bozza. Why get personal against Phil just because he doesn't agree with you.
Don't care how many times people want to report me - can be observed all game every game as far as I care.
Like Phil said I don't behave like a **** so have nothing to worry about.
Why criticize the club for taking action against anti-social behaviour - they are not just banning people on the basis of a text but checking to see if there is actually a problem. Really cannot see why anyone would have a problem with this.

Of course it's going to be a complete cock that reports you. Any normal person wouldn't grass.

Anyway it shouldn't be up to Joe Public, the stewards should be doing what they are paid for.

People end up with bans and gets their passports confiscated. Not good.

Well you're going a bit extreme there. For that to happen they would have had to be convicted in a court of law and given a banning order and those condition applied to that banning order.

Good grief - you do all know this happened at Withdean as well ?

It only happens after multiple reports from multiple people. So even if you act like a cock once and get reported you won't be watched. Act like a cock continuously and yes, you'll get watched. The answer is fairly simple really.

I have an image of a "spy" coming in, with a couple of eye holes cut into his programme, to observe the scallywag and then getting swept up in the game and ending up effing and blinding all the way through the match.

I wasn't being entirely serious.

So you all know, when someone is shopped in (for any reason), a few games afterwards a "spy" is sent in (plain clothes steward) to watch the person who has been complained about. Their job isn't to support the Albion, it's to see if one person steps out of line. I think this is utterly ridiculous.

I propose that fans send hundreds of texts per match to the club about their whole block and see why happens. Unbelievable that fans are being spied on.

If it wasn't for the police we'd all live in peace and harmony, right?

That's good because it came across as though you were......

A reasonable person would look at this action and think that's good, the club are taking some positive action against a very few obnoxious "fans" who are spoiling it for the majority.

A conspiracy theorist or fringe dweller or anti-social thug or anti-authoritarian or person who the club want to discourage from the game would actively seek some far fetched reason why it's a bad idea.

Oops, hadn't read Arthur's comment; add moron to my list of reasons why somebody would object
