On the plus side I can finally take the name of my ex (we split up 8 years ago) off my second ticket for a mere £20. On the downside, Mrs T rarely attends games so I use my second ticket to take one of my brothers or various pals to the games. If I can't do that any more I'll have to bin my second ticket. :annoyed:

Did you use to have a poll to help decide who to take

...only if they are MyAlbion+ members (cheque for £25 per person payable to P Barber Esq)

Can’t be bothered to read through all these pages but it’s basically £20 extra to do what most people did anyway right? Ie a mate use your season ticket..!? Annoying but c’est la vie.

I expect the ID check will go when a match can’t kick off on time as too many people still outside the ground trying to get in therefore causing police to delay match so no crush occurs, club gets a telling off for first offence, does it a second time - police calls it a risk, reduces capacity, fa fines club etc..... so in reality not workable.

As an aside what if you don’t have a passport or a driving licence. I don’t believe it’s a legal requirement to hold photographic ID in the UK or is our famously libertarian prime minster bringing in compulsory ID cards but just hasn’t told us yet.

So about 18 months ago I spoke to the club and explained that my father was unable to get over from Ireland to use his season ticket regularly, possibly at all, due to illness. As he is 65+, asked about having it changed to a full adult one so it could be used by other adults during these circumstances. Email from Paul Barber making clear this would be completely out of kilter with Premier League regulations, and that there is a massive season ticket waiting list so he either needed to use it or lose it. For context, he's been an STH since 1993.

12 months ago, he receives a letter from the club saying his season ticket is being cancelled and withdrawn with immediate effect due to non-use.

Today, the club announces an initiative to allow all STH's to transfer tickets an unlimited amount of times.

Will be interesting to see what they do about loyalty points given that no one has had the chance to increase their points

....unfair on who ? They’ll take 50% away from everyone

A fan who attends most away matches might have 200 when we last went to a match, they lost 100 last year and will lose 50 this year leaving 50.

A fan who didn't go much away might have had 80 so now would have 20 so only 30 points fewer now when they started 120 behind.

The fan who attended lots of away matches looses out more as they have been unable to increase their points during the last season.

Which part? It all seems very reasonable to be honest.

Its the ST being in smartphones which is a bit deflating.
It feels like we are being pushed into a world where we have to have a smartphone to be able to be a part of society and eventually that will lead to humans being chipped.
Its a Shame that in order to go to an event we will need to own a smart phone in order to attend that event.
It does say we can contact the club if we don't have a smartphone so I will have to see what that is about.
But I find this coercing of the population to become dependent on big tech companies quite disturbing. once society and big tech become intertwined there will be no going back and all our freedom will be lost.
I just want to go and watch BHAFC.why do I need to own separate products from a mobile phone manufacturer, and Google or apple in order to do so?
But I don't have a problem with all the other stuff.

Out of interest, prior to illness, when you say regularly, how many matches a season was that?

Thought they announced that they would freeze them, presumably from the Sheffield game, the last that away fans could attend. I don't believe for one minute they are going to half them for this season and again for for the start of next.

Well really the options are:

1. Pay £20 extra and get your mates to be MyAlbion+ members so you can officially pass season tickets over to them
2. Put seats on the ticket exchange for matches you can't attend
3. Nothing and if you can't attend the seat is empty.

That is the choices available.

No I understand the sharing tickets side of things, its the smartphone ticket ID thing I will have to see what to do.

Whether they freeze or take a % off doesn’t really matter - it’s all relative.......if you regularly go to away games you’ll still have priority and will still be able to maintain that priority. FWIW I recon they’ll probably simply leave them unchanged but not bothered either way.
