I didn't specify for which team...A bold use of the plural.
I wish I had your confidence.

I consciously specified 'last home LEAGUE win'. I think we'll win (the game) on Thursday. With our away form as it’s been this season and the fixtures coming up, with the possible exception of the Burnley game, I fear we may have just seen our last win of the season full stop!
Yesterday was a massive three points.
Crappy international breaksAlways amazes me every single season. Seems like the season barely gets going until November, constant stop-starts and hardly any games played. Then next thing you know there's only ten games left on the run-in. How does that work?
By 4?I consciously specified 'last home LEAGUE win'. I think we'll win (the game) on Thursday.
I'd honestly take a 1 goal win, 2 wins on the spin and try to build some kind of momentum.By 4?
Exactly this.I'd honestly take a 1 goal win, 2 wins on the spin and try to build some kind of momentum.
I hope most of us go into Thursday treating it is a one off game we can win, and not just a 2nd leg deficit we have to overcome.
It will depend how the game goes.I'd honestly take a 1 goal win, 2 wins on the spin and try to build some kind of momentum.

My Sheffield Wednesday memories still seem quite fresh given the amount of time that has lapsed since. It will depend how the game goes.
If its 0-0 at HT and any thought of the tie is done, we win 1-0 then agree.
But what if its 2-0 at HT, we score 3rd early in 2nd half, push and push but can't get 4th.
Fantastical I know, but the feeling then will be tinged with disappointment, it will feel like tie lost again versus game won, and we'll be harking back to the offside goal in Rome......
I'd still choose the latter option!!
We are unbeaten at home in 13 games, and much better at home than away this season. I don't see us losing to Villa and Chelsea at ours.AWAY: Liverpool - lose, Brentford - draw, Burnley - win, Bournemouth - win, Newcastle -draw,
HOME: Arsenal - lose, Villa - lose, Chelsea - lose, Man City - lose, Man Utd - draw
9 points left
The last time we had overturn a second leg deficit at home v a giant of European football!!My Sheffield Wednesday memories still seem quite fresh given the amount of time that has lapsed since.
I think fantastical is right, and if that happened, it will have been a great night, us back scoring, and a lot to be excited about.
I think we'll lose 5-4 on aggregate.I actually think the atmosphere will be good on Thursday. There is a element of great escape about it. No pressure on us either. If we get an early goal or two the it will get exciting. We are capable of scoring a few goals when we are on it. It's at the other end that worries me. Winning the match will go a long way to building some positive momentum going into the break.
Well said, Jim. I too am sitting here thanking my lucky stars that I’m not a self-made billionaire.
Or Man UtdWe are unbeaten at home in 13 games, and much better at home than away this season. I don't see us losing to Villa and Chelsea at ours.
