Agree with that. Would take top 10, absolutely a decent season, but still be delighted if we manage to qualify again - plenty of scope to use the learnings from this season to be better prepared next season. If we don't qualify, I can see us having a brilliant league campaign next season and qualifying for Europe then.
I can’t see us getting the necessary points when our form is scratchy and we’ve all the big guns still to play. And this is when we come to a pivotal close season. If we get it right, and we don’t have the Thursday/Sunday shuffle to contend with next season, then there’s every chance of fireworks in 2025.

But there’s so many variables at play. Manager mayhem is just one possibility. I’m glad I’m not Uncle Tony

I'm not very confident but let's see what occurs. I don't have an expectation for the league.

Absolutely, I can see us winning some, losing some and even drawing some. How we do will go a long Way to determining where we finish.
There will be goals.

Yes - sorry. It was an oblique reference back to the Championship days when we were flying high getting on for halfway through the season - but the refrain was always 'but we haven't played anyone good yet'
The season where we went unbeaten for the first 21 games but only because (according to some) "they haven't played anyone decent yet" and, more bizarrely (from a Croydon resident, I think) "they've played most of their games at home".

Our home wins:
Luton
Bournemouth
Newcastle
Spurs
Brentford
Palace
Forest

Home draws:
Fulham
Liverpool
Sheff Utd
Burnley
Wolves
Everton

Away wins:
Wolves
Man Utd
Forest
Sheff Utd

Away draws:
Everton
Palace
West Ham

So of our remaining 10 fixtures, only 4 we haven’t scored points from already:
Man City
Arsenal
Villa
Chelsea

Of those 10, we have already beaten 4 of them.

Arsenal, Liverpool and ManCity all have title jitters to contend with.

None of the rest have any real form /consistency that is that different from ourselves.

Always amazes me every single season. Seems like the season barely gets going until November, constant stop-starts and hardly any games played. Then next thing you know there's only ten games left on the run-in. How does that work?

Saw a think that said (before latest games) we’re still 80% ish likely to get that top 2. Depends on Arsenal & West Ham / Villa a fair bit now. But I’m expecting 8th to be enough. As long as Chelsea or someone don’t win the Fa cup.
We certainly need to be hoping Man City or Liverpool win the FA Cup ( or Man Utd if they somehow CL qualify ).

If Man Utd finish top 6 and win the FA Cup that would give the Conference League place to 7th, now Liverpool have won the League Cup.

*adjust both those positions down a place if England get granted the extra champions league spot.
