Worthing
Talking about the "bad atmosphere that will come", "the toxicity that will happen" and so forth is the ballsless way of saying "I'm going to create a toxic environment against our team and manager if we appoint him". People need to man up. "It will be toxic" = "I will make it toxic".
Its not a law of nature to boo your own manager and make it difficult for your own club. Its a CHOICE.

Takes a certain personality to be more emotional about a potential manager appoinment than the club finishing 6th and qualifing for Europe...

If he's joining the Albion, he's probably paying millions of pounds to take the job. So yeah he's not coming unless he's very much into it.
Eh? I’m missing something here…..

The club did finish 6th and qualify for Europe, playing the best football I’ve seen in near 50 years of supporting. It’s fair that GP laid the foundation, but RdZ improved it, absolutely no doubt.

The trouble is there is literally no guarantee that anyone coming in will ever repeat Europe, so I’m missing being the ‘emotional’ about a ‘potential manager’ which has nothing to do with it. IMO.

We shall see, I'm not sure it'll work. I'm open to a certain amount of change, I won't ever warm to him no matter what he achieves sadly, he's just not the sort of character I'd warm to.
But are you not so upset about this BECAUSE you had warmed to him and we're enjoying what we were doing before the rug was so cruelly pulled from under our feet?

I can't say I ever warmed to him that much, anyway, I won't be booing from the get go, I just think its a massive step down from a charismatic Italian, who has murals in the city, stickers, mental t-shirts, I'm not very inspired by it. Furthermore, I'm more than happy to be proved wrong, and the club do really well, Bloom and Barber do a fantastic job, but I think this is a misstep personally.

Brighton factually.....

Jack my man, I do not think it is a misstep yet, Mckenna was obviously our first target, as B&B have said they have contingency plans, and not just one, they could well be working on plan b right now quietly behind the scenes and the only real panic is on NSC, it is only a misstep when they get it wrong, nothing is wrong yet, the prospect of getting it wrong is what me, you and 90% of NSC is what is driving this division on here at the moment.

You meet someone whom you think is a great fit, you think its love....... not only did they drop you at a minutes notice for something sexier, they took everything they could that wasnt nailed down and told everyone you were plain easy, not really much of a challenge and that you should be grateful based on your past history.

After they then get booted by the lover, you may take them back out of desperation or in memory of what once was, but dont pretend it could ever be the same.

Football coaching ability is only one element of one of the key figureheads of the club and there is no doubt that Potter has pretty reasonable coaching ability, but also as important or maybe even more so is trust and holding dear/respecting what the fans truly hold dear, being an ambassador and leader of the 1000's of diehards for whom Brighton is one of their great loves in life, trying to understand and be committed to their cause and their shared identity, RDZ actually got this, Potter never did and after what has happened he could be as good as Pep or Klopp as a coach but I still dont want that man anywhere near OUR club again.
Any faith in Potter the man is gone.

The only reason the fanbase has been "very unified" in "the last few months" despite 1 win in 10, or whatever it was, is because it's been glaringly obvious that neither the manager nor the players nor the fans have given a single f*** about what we're doing on the pitch since we went to Rome and finished the season. Basically, unified in not giving a shit and the "benefits" of it are at best dubious.
Stop it with the 'we'. You're still the same Swansman who came on here as a Swansea fan before slowly revealing himself to be Potter's stalker. You've still never been to a game and spent six months on some weird charade about coming to live in Portslade that you couldn't follow up on.

You didn't know about any of our older injury history when questioned in your previous character, in which you pretended to be a workaholic games developer who couldn't spell, and had moved into an office when everyone else was working from home and was now working from home when everyone else was back in the office.

You've been given some licence to return if you stick to football, but 83 posts in 4 days suggests you're just here to make trouble and make NSC all about you again, and to point score. You must have been absolutely delighted when we started doing badly under RDZ (and by badly I mean finishing higher than Potter did in two of his full seasons and getting to the last 16 of the Europa League).

I would do a weird analogy, but I don't think anyone needs to hear about my failed love life.

Really?

Wasnt here under pseudonym cheering us on or raving about Ajax or AEK or feeling pig sick after a hammering at Villa.

Jut rocks up again when Potter is linked.

Thats not a fan, not even a plastic...... its a deranged, albeit knowlegeable individual with a weird Potter fetish, who isnt here for Brighton & Hove Albion through thick and thin (which is what I imagined is what makes us real fans?)

Exactly this.

Watching us on a stream when his pet coach is in charge really doesn't count.

Can't be very expensive to get to Amsterdam from Malmo on the train?

He was actually here when RDZ was manager as Heart and Soul but posts seem to have been disabled to view and I don’t remember if he was complimentary or otherwise

If we only posted what people needed to hear, NSC wouldn't be on about 11 posts, not 11,000,000.

If only he could redirect all that energy into something useful, like celebrating Sweden's new membership of NATO, after 200 years of neutrality......
