Ok the suspect is a Bull shark as opposed to a Great White. However, we now have the Seychelles tourist officials shitting themselves and announcing that swimming will be banned in certain areas until the rogue shark is caught. They are naturally in a panic as primarily the Seychelles is all about tourism and water sports.

Throw into the mix that its now been revealed that last month a French tourist was attacked and killed. Just how well publicized was that incident? They are now going to have to hire their very own Quint and Hooper to track and catch the shark ASAP because they cannot indiscrimanently kill every shark in the area.

Spooky stuff and tragically so for the young widow

Just to be a complete pedant, the film Jaws was actually based on real events in America during the 20's if memory serves and the suspected shark was a Bull shark.

Maybe the Islands Economy would collapse without tourists and there's not much else in the Seychelles but water activity, just a thought.

so that makes it ok to kill something in its natural habitat, as its done what come natural to it.

Yes, yes it does.

The shark is obviously a rouge or transient feeding on easy meat, or sick and or injured so not able to feed on its normal prey.

We are talking about the lives of real people here fella, thousands of them and i for one would do not wish starvation and poverty on fellow human beings for the life of one shark.

That's not a funny response. If tourist know the shark is foreign then all they need to do when swimming and they see a shark is ask to see it's passport. If it is not from the Seychelles then swim like f**K.

Lol its not going to be one shark is it though, i guess ya agree with the polar bear being killed when it attacked them lads the other week.

Would it have sat better with your concious if the bear, being in its natural enviroment, had killed all of them? Because you don't reason with Polar Bears.

it is but if were going to enter there environments then why should we be shocked when we get attacked, we have gone deeper and deeper into there habitats for years.

If they all got killed in the polar bear attack, i still wouldnt call for it to be killed, at the end of the day we have gone into there domain, we cant be angry when they want to defend it

Not sure what point you are making. Wasn't the Polar bear engaged in an attack on the camp when it was killed and the shots were fired (eventually) to prevent it killing anyone else. Also, how do you know it isn't one shark.

i didnt say it wasnt one shark but every time a shark comes near that area its going to be killed now, i mean how many sharks are they going to gut until they find the one with the body parts in it.

The camp site was still in there natural habitat, when you cook food etc.... ya going to attract wildlife into your area.

I dont see how killing a animal doing what comes natural to it living in its own habitat when people enter it they need to realise there not top dog any more, these animals are killers, they have as much right to be here as we do

It's not about being shocked though is it. Like it or not the tourist industry is a major part of the worldwide economy now, and i think you'll find that the tourist industry funds conservation projects in all areas of this planet.

If there's nothing left to see, why go and lookk at it.

So I take it you don't believe in swimming in the sea or flying then or anything that man was not ostensibly designed to do!!!!
