The weather up in Scotland could make it a bit of a lottery but I have gone for £10 each-way on ERNIE ELS (20/1) & LUKE DONALD (40/1).

You?

I've yet to make my selections, but I'll do my usual e/w on Choi for sure. Might have a sniff at Casey, Rose and the Goose.

By the way, Paddy Power are doing top SEVEN for their e/ws, so thats where my coinage will be heading (and probably staying) :(

Sergio Garcia might be worth an e/w punt at 80/1. He's slumped from world #4 to #44 but I wouldn't bet against him riding the new found wave of Spanish sporting confidence.

I have put £50 on Justin Rose. Don't know why, just fancied having a bit of interest in the golf, and he is a form player apparently (I heard it on the radio!)

Why would you bet £50 on golf when you know nothing about it.... your either loaded or well just a bit silly...

Having siad that, he is bang in form.

What odds do you get with golf each way bets? If they allow the top 7, does that mean full payout for first place and one seventh of the odds for seventh? Or is that too logical?

I have a small addiction that now and again comes out! So hardly ever bet when I do I would rather have the buzz of winning big than picking up small amounts.

And I know a little bit about golf really. Struck me as a reasonable bet at 20/1.

1/4 odds 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th places.
Of course 1st place you get the win payment too.

Sorry, I'm trying not to be thick. Does that mean that for example, if a player is 80/1, you get odds of 20/1 whether he comes first or seventh?

If he wins, you'll get paid at odds of 80/1 AND at 20/1 for him finishing top 7.
If he comes top 7 (without winning), you'll just get paid on your 20/1 odds.

An each way bet is effectively 2 bets.

If you backed somebody £1 E/W [ie to WIN and PLACE] at 80/1, you would collect;

£21 if they finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th.
£102 [81 AND 21] if they won.
